The results have finally come in from the Game Critics Awards for E3 2016 and it was the stunning The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild that managed to get the top honours. The overall judges panel consisted of more than 40 outlets and it was Nintendo’s next entry in the Zelda franchise that wowed them the most. The game won three awards including Game of the Show, Best Action/Adventure Game and Best Console Game. Here’s this year’s winners.

Well, no surprises here: if people were stampeding just to play Zelda at E3, then a result other than this would have been VERY surprising.

I was not surprised. I could tell everyone loved the game. and let this sink in for a minute: NINTENDO WON 3 AWARDS THIS YEAR, ONE OF THEM BEING THE BEST GAME OF THE SHOW, WITH GET THIS: ONLY A FEW GAMES. THATS FUCKING INSANE!!! Content wise and variety they lost, but overall game of the show, they dominated. I think they still won. I’m not trying to sound like a fan boy who says one game is good and then later say that this other game is better just because its Nintendo, I just think they showed off Zelda in the best way possible. This will most likely be on of the GOTY nominations, and hey, maybe it might actually win it. After all Bayonetta 2 and Mario Maker were both nominations for GOTY. Bayonetta 2 almost won 2014, while Mario Maker almost won 2015. I don’t like to kiss up to Nintendo though, I just like their games. If the NX controller was shaped like a fucking double sided boomerang, I’d wait for the Xbox Scorpio or maybe the PS4K
