The CEO Of Nvidia Says That The Company’s Relationship with Nintendo “Will Likely Last Two Decades”

Nvidia CEO Jen-Hsun Huang took part in a Q&A yesterday. The Q&A was part of the company’s earnings call, which followed their Q3 results. At one point, Huang was asked the increased revenues of Nvidia’s gaming division. In response, comments were made about the company’s relationship with Nintendo, and the Switch. Huang said “I guess you could also say that Nintendo contributed a fair amount to that growth. And over the next – as you know, the Nintendo architecture and the company tends to stick with an architecture for a very long time. And so we’ve worked with them now for almost two years. Several hundred engineering years have gone into the development of this incredible game console. I really believe when everybody sees it and enjoy it, they’re going be amazed by it. It’s really like nothing they’ve ever played with before. And of course, the brand, their franchise and their game content is incredible. And so I think this is a relationship that will likely last two decades and I’m super excited about it.”

  1. Sounds exciting! I hope the Switch is as amazing as everyone says! Can’t wait to find out more about the games at the January livestream, and get my preorder in!

  2. Nintendo First Order Commander Quadraxis

      1. lol xbox has lost 2 billio a yr from creation to today 2 BILLION A YR over 3 gens

        kinect lost another 1 billion

red light of death x360 lost another 1 billion

xbone lost 2 billion ijn its first 6 months

      2. Well, lookee here. It’s the ugly no good jerk! How ya been? Been being a jerk and hurting kids feelings? The ones that want a Nintendo Switch, those kids? Bet you have, YOU LOUSY TROLLING FREAK!

    1. Xbox is already dead, Microsoft will not admit it ’cause they need to recover their investment, and I believe from the begining they were intending to kill their dedicated videogame branch. There are lots of factors pointing this, they want Windows to be a even stronger player on the industry.

      1. You’re talking about sony…they were the ones who suffered that…unless there is a news article saying otherwise…I knew they suffered a drought for a bit like the wii u and ps4…but they were quick to get back into the game after phil took over. Oh and phil still telling his fanboys off and got a nintendo mini.

    2. I would like to see role-playing fanboy douche-bags like you go extinct.
You make the rest of the gaming enthusiast population look bad, and you’re no better than the “xbots” and “sonyans”.
Please, do craw back under the rock you came from.

      1. Why do you people waste your time? While you are getting annoyed & whining about his role playing, he’s having fun & not getting heated over video games like some of us here do.

  3. I hope so. I’m honestly tired of always being so negative on this site because of the stupid shit from Nintendo. Then again, if there is region locking, I’ll still have plenty to bitch about as I’ll still probably be under the tyrannical thumb of NintenD’OH! *facepalm* of ‘Muridiots here in America because of their bullshit excuse of localization which is just a nice little way for NoA to hide the fact they are just downright censoring shit! At the same time, if the reveal trailer for Switch focusing on teenagers, young adults, & adults is a sign of things to come, maybe NoA won’t be nearly as shitty with their “localization.”

    1. If they did do away with region locking, NoA better change how they do & handle things. Otherwise, they are gonna have one HELL of a hard time selling anything as some, if not most, will import games instead. I just gotta hope the eShop is also not region locked so I can switch to the European version just in case for any digital purchases.

      1. Me too, I hope that they will get rid of that reigon lock, I want to face stronger opponents. NoA needs to be more aggressive though, simply keeping the way they are now is not going to help them much. the net is not for everyone and people still use TV’s for their news and commercials. “High command” as NC would say, needs to be on par and aggressive on marketing. No butts either, you fail this time nintendo, I fear you might become the next sega…period. DO NOT FAIL ME!

      2. Well here the things, for decades now you guys in Usa got some games we never saw and we had to hack the console or rush into a room to get it. Recently we had game which were exclusive to Europe but given they success,NoA distribute the game in usa after being forced . I don’t even mentioned Japan cause it another story all together. My point is that Nintendo distribution is base on hold business strategy, corporate structure and Japanese market protection. I don’t think they will change they mind really soon. I have to say I will be pleasantly surprised but I don’t have any hope it will be region free.

  4. “And so I think this is a relationship that will likely last two decades and I’m super excited about it.”

Translation: “those of you who want Nintendo to become a third-party company a là Sega: fuck off.”

  5. Nintendo and Nvidia teaming up together for two more decades? It makes me smile just thinking about it…can’t wait to see what they’ve got in store for us with the Switch….I’m hoping it’s gonna be great
