Empoleon Comes To Pokkén Tournament Arcade

The team over at Bandai Namco have revealed the latest fighter to appear in the arcade version of Pokkén Tournament. The new Pokémon is none other than the majestic Empoleon. Japanese gamers will be able to play as the new character in arcades on December 10th and a trailer showcasing Empoleon in action should be arriving shortly.

    1. Pokkén Tournament on Wii U is dead. Nintendo and TPCI abandoned it extremely quickly after its release and the hype from fans died down just as quickly, once they found out what kind of a game it was. Frankly, I’m glad. I didn’t buy it, because I’d rather have another home console game in the style of Colosseum, Gale of Darkness and Battle Revolution, instead of another uninteresting and unrequested spin-off like Rumble, PokéPark or Pokkén.

  1. Real talk: Best starter from Gen 4 hands down. Empoleon is probably my favorite in the series next to the Rowlet line and the Cyndaquil line.

    1. Hopefully Nintendo thought about a universal/unified account system for Switch so cross save & cross buy will be a thing. Meaning anything bought on Wii U can be downloaded for free on Switch if you have both connected to your Nintendo Account. Oh & you can share your save data between consoles so you don’t have to start over on games like Mario Kart 8 or Splatoon or Xenoblade Chronicles X. But if Nintendo wants to continue being greedy assholes, expect to pay a discount to get those games on Switch if you don’t have to pay the full 60 all over again.
