If you ever wanted to sit on a rock in your Animal Crossing: New Leaf village, you can now do so thanks to the game’s Welcome amiibo update. Prior to this, sitting on rocks wasn’t an option in any Animal Crossing title. In addition to implementing new features and activities, the recent update also includes support for all Animal Crossing series amiibo figures and cards – allowing players to discover new villagers, explore the Campground and interact with characters with the tap of compatible amiibo.

Well, MNN make it look like they’re telling us about rocks in Animal Crossing and how you can sit on them now.
But they are actually reporting on the tweet from Dec 11, so it’s not as outdated as it seems… in theory.
Yes, but they are making it sound as if we only JUST learned about this, meanwhile, we’ve known you can sit on rocks since the update on November 2.
