Link Is About To Attack In This New Zelda: Breath Of The Wild Screenshot

Nintendo has unveiled a new screenshot from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild to build hype for the upcoming title. It depicts a sword-wielding Link who’s seemingly about to strike a full-blown attack on a threatening Guardian. You can check it out below. Earlier this week, Nintendo released Christmas-themed artwork for the game. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is scheduled to launch simultaneously for both Wii U and Nintendo Switch in 2017.

  1. guardian’s like: you thought you feared us before? but now i will engage in melee combat as well
    sod off you robot jerk…

    1. Ridley 4 Smash Switch X3 (King Kalas X3 is on vacation til further notice...)

Maybe they gave it a moderate upgrade, something similar to how Hyrule Warriors added an awesome scarf, and are hiding it til the full reveal of the game as a surprise.

  2. When you really take a look, if you’re a fan of graphics, there’s a limited palette of muted colors and not a lot of detail.

I’m not a link (or RPG) fan, so would most likely pass but not too exciting from my point of view.

I’m hoping for platform and racing games.. would love to see a high-end Forza on the Switch.

  3. That’s pretty neat that there are going to be a variety of different types of Guardians. I’m thinking that each one will have a differing weakness to certain weapons. For example, this one might be vulnerable to swords and the larger ones to the bow and arrow.
