      1. Yeah maybe they will refine it also it’s a live stream from Japan. The thing is though everyone wanted a sequel to x not the original but no one minds as long as it’s as good as the others

A lot of us wanted a sequel to the original, too, though. They gave the original a pretty sequel friendly ending if you ask me. Shulk did say he hopes to meet the people of the new world they were in.

  1. I might try to finish X now… perhaps. The first Xenoblade was to die for, an excellent game w/ poor graphics, but the soundtrack more than made up for that.

While I am not digging the new character design, it does seems as though they have gone back to a more story driven/hopefully character driven narrative. So, hooray?

Ya know what. It kind of does look that way!

I wasn’t feeling the artstyle at first either but it’s fucking Xenoblade so it grew on me pretty fucking quickly. I’M REALLY FEELING IT!!! And as another said, it looks like a mix of Phantasy Star, Star Ocean, and Xenoblade Chronicles X rolled into one! @.@ If Shulk & the others return in some capacity, I hope they bring back the English voice actors! Especially Melia. I miss hearing Jenna Coleman’s voice in a video game!

Oh & that was an awesome Monado! Least it better be a Monado or at least named Monado.

  3. Hah, Xenoblade X fanboys got backed the fuck off!

Now we have a true sequel to the Xenoblade we all knew and loved. Just wished the designs did not look like they were stripped from most generic anime of today.

Yeah! Screw those fuckers! I was hugely disappointed in the fact XCX was not even connected to the original game & only had the Nopon return. And the game’s story is extremely short & the game becomes just a generic MMO afterwards!? No thank you! Hey! Now I have another, even better reason as to why I didn’t get the game beyond just the censorship or the removal of the boob slider which I still think was total bullshit since Samurai Warriors Chronicles 3 was a T for Teen rated game, too, & it had a damn boob slider! *cough*

But I for one am a huge anime fan so I’m fine with it. It looks like they took a Skyward Sword/Breath of the Wild approach to the artstyle & fused Xenoblade Chronicles’ realistic look with something reminiscent of anime. Anyway, the original Xenoblade Chronicles’ story was pretty anime-ish so I guess they figured they’d give the sequel more of an anime look. lol

  5. Xenoblade Chronicles 2 seems to be returning to the storytelling roots of the first one, which I’m glad they are. It looks great too, but I’m sure it will go through some downgrades to run on the Switch in the future. I was kinda hoping for more transforming mechas, but this will do.

I highly suggest the original Xenoblade. The story gets pretty anime-y but if you like anime, you’ll enjoy it. Honestly, I’d recommend the n3DS version because 3D makes it look nicer than the Wii version even if it is on a smaller screen. But if you don’t have the n3DS, you’ll just have to either get the game for Wii (good luck with that as it’s hard to find last I checked) or get the game digitally on Wii U.
