NPD: NES Classic Edition Sales Were Up 14 Percent Compared To November

As you may have already seen, the NPD results came out yesterday and they brought news that Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare was the game of choice for North American consumers during the busy Christmas period. What we didn’t know is that NES Classic Edition sales were up 14 percent compared to November. It’s hard to believe as we’ve barely seen them in stock anywhere. NeoGAF has deduced that there were 223k NES Minis sold in December.

  1. They must include Ebay sales. I dont see the appeal though. Another half-assed piece of Nintendo hardware. I have exactly 117 Nes cartridges. Why didn’t they include the function in the NES Classic for me to be able to play them? Great original system though, 2nd only to the Snes. However, another let down by Nintendo, but a gem to the sheep.

      1. That’s is actually pretty cool but my Nes still works fine. I bought a new 72 pin connector for it a few years ago and it works flawless still. I would have bought one of these classic NES mini console things though (just cause) if it was able to play nes cartridges. Completely useless without that function. If I wanted to play just digital roms I could play them on My PC, My Laptop or on my original Xbox. You know what I mean? Why bother?
