Pokémon Company CEO Hints At Possibility Of New Pokémon Go Device To Keep Players Safer

In a recent interview with Nikkei, the Pokémon Company CEO Tsunakazu Ishihara spoke about safety when using Pokemon Go and the possibility of developing a new device to ensure that it can be played more safely in the future.

In the interview, Ishihara was reminded that a series of accidents whilst playing Pokémon Go have been reported, including critical ones, and was asked what his reaction was to this. He responded with:

“We intended to make a game for people to play outdoors, instead of at home. The potential that players could become too involved in playing the game [that they might walk into danger] was already an issue at an early stage.”

“To avoid the danger, we also released “Pokémon Go Plus,” the smartphone-linked wearable device, so that “Pokémon Go” players do not have to always be looking down at their smartphone screens.” Ishihara said, “Together with Nintendo, we are thinking of developing a new device that can be played more safely.”

It will be interesting to see what the Pokémon Company and Nintendo have planned for a new device, and we’ll keep you posted with any updates.

  1. King Kalas X3 {Greatness Awaits at Sony PlayStation 4! Hopefully it will also await us at Nintendo Switch if Nintendo doesn't FUCK things up again!}

    Why? We need more things that take out the idiots in the herds, not less things. If you were the idiot looking at your phone instead of looking at where you were going before walking right off a cliff, you deserve whatever is coming to you.
