1.2 Million Votes Were Cast In The Fire Emblem Heroes Character Poll

Fire Emblem has risen through the ranks to become one of Nintendo’s most popular franchises. This means that when fans were asked to vote for their favourite characters, the poll was intensely competitive. Over 1.2 million votes were cast in the Fire Emblem Heroes ballot, players trying to get their favourite characters a spot in the upcoming mobile game. Considering that voting only opened two weeks ago, this is an excellent turn out for a franchise that used to be a Japan exclusive. This information was revealed in a Famitsu interview that can be read here.

  1. Every time you see Fire Emblem being popular worldwide, you should look to the ground (where Japan is if you live in Brazil), bow, and say “Thank you, based Sakurai”….

  2. I bet well written characters like Jill or Oboro won’t be featured anywhere o the list. Oh well, at least Ike’s probably going to win at least along with lyn. I’m going to get very salty if camilla or tharja wins.

    1. Hey! What’s wrong with Tharja! That’s my First Wife I’ll have you know! .. After Tharja was Nori.. Nova.. The Dragon chick. Our kids kicked ass.

      And I remember when Awakening was announced to be the last Fire Emblem game, and how the developers put everything they had into it so it would go out in a blaze of glory… instead, it caught fire and revitalized the entire IP. :D

      1. There’s nothing “wrong” with her per say but the fact that she’s often used for nothing more than fan service bothers me especially when there’s other characters that imo deserve more attention to them. I mean lets be honest, do you really think characters like tharja and camilla are so high on the popularity poll because of their character alone?

        I’m just slightly upset that characters that rely so much on sexual appeal are doing better than characters that rely so much on being genuinely well written characters. But I guess I shouldn’t be too surprised as sex sells after all. And it’s not like they’re 100% fan service either as they do have some well written supports too.

        I won’t shame anyone for liking them or anything like that but I feel that I should be free to express my opinions on their placements.

        1. Lol. Well, I see what your saying. Of course sexual appeal plays a big role in their popularity as you say. It’s the same in real life. Haha.

          There are a lot of other great characters that unless you’ve played through the games, you really don’t know much about which is unfortunate.

          1. It doesn’t really matter in the end. People will like different things to me and that’s ok. However, it’s still a bit of a shame when the fandom seems to have completely different tastes to you for the most part as it can feel rather alienating tbh.

  3. King Kalas X3 {Greatness Awaits at Sony PlayStation 4! Hopefully it will also await us at Nintendo Switch if Nintendo doesn't FUCK things up again!}

    Damn it! I forgot to vote for my 4th, 5th, 6th, & 7th slots! Oh well. Least I voted for Lyndis, Tharja, & Lucina on my first 3 days. Honestly, I’m not sure who I would have voted for on the other 4 days, though. Maybe Ninian would have been #4. Ooh! Leila from Fire Emblem Blazing Sword would have been #5 since I loved her look. Too bad she was killed off & we didn’t get her as a unit…

    1. I wasn’t able to vote as many times as I wanted (I actually had a PC emergency the past 2 days and missed the last day), but at least I got my votes for Chrom, Kaze, and Hisame in (would have liked to get Hana in there too but oh well).
