Nintendo Sold About 6,500,000 amiibo In Q1-Q3 Of This Fiscal Year

Nintendo is not done with producing amiibo yet, but it doesn’t look like sales for amiibo are doing as well as they used to. Nintendo has announced at its investor’s meeting that 6,500,000 amiibo were sold in the Q1-Q3 time frame of this fiscal year. This is 14,000,000 less sales than the same period last fiscal year. It’s possible that this trend may change with the release of more amiibo this year, including amiibo for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, so we’ll see.

  1. let’s see here…. link, link, link, Zelda, animal crossing, Mario characters that already have smash amiibo… i wonder why the sales have dropped :O

    1. I can understand you not knowing this as it isn’t exactly public knowledge but Nintendo did confirm that they have not forgotten about those 3. In fact, as I recall, Platinum Games said they were the ones working on the Bayonetta Amiibo, we even got a small screenshot of her amiibo as a teaser.
      Don’t worry, they will come, just give them time.

      1. hmm…. I’ll believe it when i see it. But i greatly appreciate the information and for that you have my thanks.

  2. King Kalas X3 {Greatness Awaits at Sony PlayStation 4! Hopefully it will also await us at Nintendo Switch if Nintendo doesn't FUCK things up again!}

    That’s still pretty impressive sales considering we still got bad stock of amiibo & the fact most of the amiibo available that aren’t suffering bad stock are of ones most people already have. Not to mention the lack of games that came out the past fiscal year for people to even use these amiibo with.

  3. i still have lost faith in Nintendo with the Nintendo “Ditch” the 3ds however is now my go to console for gaming.
