New unused animations for Petey Piranha have been discovered in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U. The folks at Source Gaming did some back-checking with other boss characters in the game and found out that the animation names match up with other characters, suggesting that these newly-discovered animations might have been made specifically for the game. Check out the video below for some more analysis. Petey Piranha appears in Super Smash Bros. Brawl as one of the first bosses in The Subspace Emissary adventure mode.
Boss or not. Honestly Pety the Piranha would be an interesting Character. Im still hoping for Skull Kid one day..
Yeah Skull kid would be great.
One would probably argue that Pety is too big though… but A simple fix for big characters like Pety or Ridley is having them as playable bosses in certain boss modes. Because bosses tend to be oversized, their move set should be very unique and should not be compared to a normal fighter. It would be so cool playing as master hand trying to beat up a normal character…
*sigh* I’m not sure why Nintendo isn’t smart like me.
Probably a boss at best.
Because not only Petey Piranha is too fucking big, but he haven’t been relevant in Mario spinoffs for years.I can name plenty of Mario characters that would be better than him.
Would’ve fit perfectly in Delfino Plaza
i kinda want him as a character now

I just did :) 👍🏼
Nice!
If they ever do a Switch version of Sm4sh, hopefully it gets a story mode.
Raymond Bryce for smash!
Petey Piranha coming soon to Super Smash Bros. for Wii U for Switch Deluxe
Subspace Emissary was fantastic. I loved how much effort they put into the single player experience in Brawl. And then Sm4sh came out and that was basically reduced to zero. If that’s also true for future Smash Bros. titles, I probably won’t be buying any more of them.
