The Nintendo 3DS is still chugging along quite happily and Nintendo continues to iron out various bugs and glitches. As such there’s a new Nintendo 3DS software update available that’s necessary to download if you want to access the Nintendo 3DS eShop. This brings the system to version 11.3.0-36.
Further improvements to overall system stability and other minor adjustments have been made to enhance the user experience.
I wonder what was needing to be updated? My has been running just fine since the last major update.
Updates like this are typically to stop 3ds hacking. Surprisingly easy if you ever want to youtube it

Fasthax is patched up with the 11.3 update of destruction. New exploits will be on it’s way soon. For anyone who wants to use Homebrew or install A9LH, please don’t update to 11.3.
If Nintendo are doing a region free switch they should do this for the wii u and 3ds at least give the wii u one last bit of love
i got a new 3ds with freeshop anyway and blocked updates so i’m fine the other 3ds i got i may update but not sure
They are not ironing out any bugs! This is not an update in favor of the consumer. This is an update AGAINST the consumer! This update will keep you from installing homebrew, so you should install homebrew before updating, if you plan to.
heh, try to get me with my 11.2 new 3ds with a custom firmware and freeshop!
