Knowing Nintendo’s inner dumbshit known as Dumbtendo, they will probably think that one single commercial during the Super Bowl will be enough til March 3rd. :/

I guess I should have clarified I was talking about NintenD’OH! *facepalm* of ‘Muridiots. Anyway, tell me. If it’s so baseless, where are the Switch commercials at on USA Network or Cartoon Network? Because I sure as hell don’t see them!

There in lies the problem. You aren’t thinking of this objectively but subjectively. You aren’t thinking about the millions that still do watch television & ONLY watch television. How are they supposed to know? Word of mouth? Yeah. That worked out SO WELL for Wii U!

                ||Your country is too fat, especially since it’s the Xbot homeworld, we don’t want to spend billions to amuse Xbot diseases…||

Not good enough as the console will be out long before then. They need to do continual marketing on television for the weeks leading up to launch & well after launch, not just scattered about here & there.

          1. ExACTly! We’re already seeing so much more advertising about the Switch before release than we did for Wii U during the last 4 years. It’s an improvement, for sure. No, it’s not perfect or as aggressive as it should be, but it’s still leagues ahead.

With all of that money some of us gloat about them having, not paying for continual advertising on television or internet is just ridiculous! What the hell are they doing with all of that money!? There is such a thing as saving TOO MUCH for a rainy day!

    1. They felt social media buzz was enough to carry the Wii U & 3DS, but based on their current strategy they seem to have realized that a solid amount of traditional marketing is also required. Rather than just advertise one Smash Bros. here or a Super Mario Maker there, they seem to be prepared to advertise more products more frequently outside of the internet.

Long story short: Don’t expect their idea of going all-out this generation to be “Super Mario 3D World at Pottery Barn.”

  1. Boy, that commercial makes my Japanese celebrity workday look alot more fun! For example Switch will make been driving around so much more entertaining!
BTW I’m Norwegain, not a celebrity nor do I get driven around x)
