  1. I want this game on the Switch but I can’t get the Switch anytime soon but I feel like the Wii U version is such an inferior version that it would take a lot from the experience. If I have to hold off until Christmas or after I may need to stay off the Internet for the rest of the year! 😣

    1. The file sizes are nearly identical. There are videos where some feel like the WiiU version is better, albeit a slightly lower resolution. (720p instead of 900p.

You can wait if you want, but the game won’t be THAT much better on switch. It was made for the WiiU, to take advantage of WiiU hardware. The small resolution bump and “better audio” will not take away from your gameplay experience.

There is no additional content, no enhanced game mechanics…it’s the same game. You can torture yourself needlessly to play the port later, or you can just buy and enjoy the game on the system it was originally designed for.

      Your decision.

Watch that YouTube video. If you’re not already 100% committed to buying a switch, watch the video, then buy the game and enjoy it. The switch version is not some epic upgrade, Nintendo is using the game to sell the switch, of course the deck is stacked to make it sound like some giant leap in quality. It’s not. It’s a marketing gimmick to keep people from buying the Switches only real selling point, and make it look unique when in reality, there is no reason whatsoever to buy switch at launch.

Nintendo s marketing team did good this time…they really are riding the hype wave like a pro.

  3. I wonder if this has anything to do with those kokiri seeds. They were all about trees and forests after all. Only not sure why this tree would be useful tho…

I was also thinking this is probably tied to the Koroks & Korok seeds. As for it’s purpose, maybe it’s to revitalize the area after it’s been devastated by a past battle that destroyed the land. Kind of like how the Korok planting seeds in Wind Waker was to create a new land over the Great Sea to forever bury Old Hyrule.

  4. I wonder if this is one of those 900 Korok puzzles.

Since there are so many of the puzzles, I’m wondering if you only get a basic item, like food ingredients, for completing them. It would be cool if they served a more unique purpose, like allowing Link to reach certain places that he couldn’t without them being completed. For example, maybe standing on the stump would cue the Korok to come and carry you to a unreachable ledge or the like.

I’m glad to see I’m not the only one that thinks this stump is connected to the Koroks & Korok seeds.
