Story of Seasons: Trio of Towns will be arriving to the 3DS in North America at the end of the month, and further details on the story line and characters are beginning to emerge.
The latest trailer from XSEED Games introduces the new bachelorettes – Lisette, Kasumi, Komari, and Iluka. Each have their own unique personalities and styles, and the clip gives you a sneak peak into their dialogue in short snippets of gameplay. You can take a look below:
I thought Story of Seasons was Marvelous’s new name for their Harvest Moon games in the states because XSeed owns the Harvest Moon name over here & they are releasing their own game series titled Harvest Moon!? *head explodes from too much confusion*
That’s all accurate. Also, SOS is a vastly superior series to ‘harvest moon’ nowadays. Iv
OH the irony! XSeed is still releasing the Marvelous originals in spite of owning their own separate brand using the Harvest Moon name. lol
I don’t necessarily dislike Natsume as a company, but they were awful @ localization, and gave the bachelors and bachelorettes NO personality. I think the only game they gave any sort of life to was Animal Parade and It’s a Wonderful Life. Which is why those are my two favorite ‘original’ releases before XSeed got the rights. And based on the latest release of SOS and the newer one coming out this month, I enjoy XSeed’s translation MUCH much more.

But then in 2013 they stopped working with Natsume and teamed up with XSeed to do the localization, which decided to stick with the game’s original name, being Story of Seasons. But Natsume still owned the name “Harvest Moon”, and since it was the only game series that made them any money, they decided to make their own farming games and call them Harvest Moon, but they have all been really bad.
Before 2013 – “Story of Seasons” was localized by Natsume as “Harvest Moon”
2013 Onward – “Story of Seasons” is localized by XSeed as “Story of Seasons”
also 2013 Onward – Natsume makes their own farming games under the name “Harvest Moon” but they are actually a completely new game series
