Update: He has uploaded a two minute video showing off the console’s UI.
There have been Nintendo Switch leaks all over the place, but this one in particular may stand out the most. This is because a user by the name of hiphoptherobot may have obtained a Nintendo Switch early. He says he was “lucky” in getting it, and uploaded some pictures as proof. hiphoptherobot also says that he has no games, so the only thing he can do is mess with the UI. How hiphoptherobot managed to get the console, if this is legitimate, is uncertain, but the most likely theory is that a retailer broke the street date of the console. This is not something that is uncommon with upcoming gaming releases, but it is very significant to see it with a console. We’ve included a gallery of the image that hiphoptherobot included down below.

It’s not against PC, that is a versatile system that do many things, it’s against ‘consoles’ that lost their characteristics: simplicity. That’s why I used the term ‘masked’ PC.

The OS really reminds me of the Nintendo DS (in a positive way). Not only the sound effects and the general feel, but also how responsive everything seems. It seems a good bit more responsive than the 3DS, which always has some load times when you want to get anywhere.
Well he can’t use it for anything so that kind of sucks lol I would be so happy opening it and then 5 minutes later just be like yea now Wt lol

I hope they add some more things to the menu in the future. I’m not saying it’s bad, it actually looks pretty simple and easy but it’s a little boring. For example, why isn’t there an Internet Browser or an Application like Miiverse or maybe a Trophy System. Definitely an improvement over the Wii U but it’s missing some really cool stuff.
Well, they already said Miiverse is not returning (not that it would be greatly missed anyway- the place became too dystopian too quickly) and a web browser may only be added in the future, so that explains one of your inquiries.
He is no lucky at all. He does not have any game, nor can he install one from the eShop. He cannot even connect it to the web, as Nintendo will be able to brick it from a distance.
It’s cool to see the console, but the guy cannot do anything with it. Nintendo is very strict about the release dates, if he plays fool he’s gonna get capped by the Nintendo police 110%.
And even if he had a physical copy, like Zelda. He won’t even be able to play, because the game is extremely likely to require a connection and an update on boot up. And the eShop too, from the video, is requiring an update before starting (we saw it).
This means no playable game before March 3rd. Enjoy your console, dude! :D

He’s lucky because he won’t have to hunt for the damn thing at launch or wait on launch day to get his pre-order or wait for it to arrive in the mail. In fact, as soon as GameStop opens on March 3rd where he lives, barring if he doesn’t have to go to work that day, he can immediately start downloading Zelda: BotW from the eShop. For me, I’m gonna have to go pick mine up which is gonna probably take an hour or 2 since we’ll probably be doing some other things before coming home. In fact, probably won’t even leave the house til around 12 & my GameStop opens at 10am.
So yeah. Lucky son of a bitch!

No Bomberman or Yooka Laylee?
I don’t like old school Bomberman & Yooka Laylee is out of the question on Switch til I can use external hard drives. Same goes for a bunch of other shit, too. I’m not gonna spend hundreds of bucks on a bunch of micro SD cards just to get up to 2tb when I can get a 2tb external HDD for much, much cheaper. So Nintendo better get them working with Switch before Yooka Laylee releases to Switch or I’m getting it on PS4 instead. I’ll hold off on the game for PS4 for now, though, for the chance to play the game on Switch.
You say you don’t like old school Bomberman. Does that mean there was a more modern one you did like? Or just don’t like any of them? And I actually forgot Yooka Laylee was coming to other platforms when I wrote that comment haha.
I loved the N64 ones with the Regulus character. *looked up his name to make sure I was remembering it correctly & comes across a villain’s name for the first game known as Sirius* Hah! Sirius & Regulus are the names of Harry Potter characters who are part of the same family! lol
I loved that one too! I wanted it on Wii U VC. I think I played one in my friend’s Sega once or twice too. But that 64 one was great.
The OS reminds me of Windows 10. Not sure if a good or a bad thing.
