In the latest edition of Japanese publication CoroCoro a feature included a small section of Pokémon the Movie: I Choose You! artwork. The artwork shown is featured on a poster for the film in Japan. You can check it out below:
The new film is set to arrive in Japan on 15th July 2017, with no word on when it will be released for the rest of the world just yet.
I think this movie is just going to be flashbacks from the first season reanimated
Pretty much indicates that.
What the fuck did they do to his hat?
isn’t that just his original hat…?
oops nevermind
No. Did you watch the original anime?
Truth, why his hat so janked up
The only thing “janked up” is the logo, which can be easy photoshopped with his original hat logo from several official images from the first 5 years of the anime, as well as its first 5 seasons, movies, and openings.
I feel like it’ll retcon all the series before sun and moon, and this’ll be the canon and the story will continue.
Screw Ash so much. The eternal Loser
Yes! Now that’s the Ash we all know and had high hopes for back in Gen 1.
I guess they couldn’t come up with a film based on Ash’s Alolan shenanigans (school days, fool days). Not even Solgaleo, Lunaala, Necrozma, the Tapu, the Ultra Beasts, or Marshadow, were strong enough selling points.
But yeah, I’ve given up on the anime. Let’s hope this film serves as good enough closure, with NONE of the baggage from Alola.
Well ash got that same design as before. He’s looking fresh.
