New Zelda: Breath Of The Wild Images Shed Light On Donkeys In Hyrule

Donkeys are among the creatures that players can come across in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. In the upcoming adventure game, the domesticated animals are seen carrying a variety of merchandise accompanying traveling merchants in the land of Hyrule. Link will often find them at stables or on the road, as shown in the new images below. You’ll be able to meet virtual donkeys for yourself when Breath of the Wild arrives on March 3 for Nintendo Switch and Wii U.

Where the hell is the merchant!? He’s pretty distant from his merchandise! Or is this an instance of Link having to retrieve a merchant’s lost donkey from a band of monsters as a side quest? Maybe even from some Gerudo! It’d be nice to see them make a return.

    1. What do you mean? That’s not Link in the screenshot. The figure in the screenshot should be the merchant, and the donkey is just following along…

I wonder if you can sneak up and steal items, then be marked as a thief like in Link’s Awakening. That would be fun if there’s a bounty on Link and the resulting side quests involves clearing your name somehow or serve time to errands… lol

*looks closer after clicking on the picture for a bigger view* Oh. *facepalm* So much for my idea for a side quest…

I’d take their complaints more seriously if they weren’t actually responsible for as many animal deaths as hunters are during hunting seasons. So if they have any complaints, fuck ’em.
