Japanese Nintendo Switch owners will be able to get their hands on Neo Geo games starting as soon as next month. King of Fighters ’98, Metal Slug 3, Waku Waku 7, Shock Troopers and World Heroes Perfect are the games that will be available on the Japanese eShop. Whether these are classed as Virtual Console titles remains to be seen as Nintendo said yesterday that Virtual Console won’t be available on the system at launch.

Does nintendo know when they are doing a virtual console? Mixed info. We know we will get virtual console games when online become pay to play. I’m guessing they are going to make us pay full price again as the role the games out slowly.

So, if it is after a couple weeks or a month, that is technically not at launch so even if it were classed as such that makes sense.
I assume these are the Neo Geo titles also coming to the other platforms now? They’re not VC
These are known as “Arcade Archives” they are listed in Nintendo’s Switch page and they have been released on ps4 too
