Someone at UK supermarket Asda has done a terrible job at their in-store marketing for the Nintendo Switch. As you can see from the image below the Nintendo Switch pre-order cases for various titles such as The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and 1-2 Switch have been put into Xbox One game cases. Let’s hope it’s rectified soon.

Generic supermarkets in the UK have absolutely no clue about this kind of thing. I called our local Sainsbury’s the the other day to ask if they sold any Nintendo games. The operator didn’t know what a Nintendo was but assured me they have “The Playstation” things.

asda is the worst supermarket ever in the UK. It’s really low market. The staff are forced to behave like garden gnomes and the own brand food is disgusting. the bakery bread and cakes are particularly bad. I avoid asda like the plague.

I’d say it was genius marketing by advertising the Switch to users of other consoles, but that would only work if they put the Switch stuff in PS4 cases. XBone players, around here at least, are the type that would buy BotW and spend half an hour trying to find a hole in their system to jam the cartridge into before returning the game and going back to some good, old-fashioned FEEFFA.
