Dutch retailer InterToys has listed a new Pikmin game for the Nintendo Switch which is interestingly titled Pikmin World. It seems safe to assume that the Pikmin franchise will inevitably make an appearance on the Nintendo Switch at some point. However, the next Pikmin title has already been confirmed for the Nintendo 3DS. Could we be seeing a Switch version?

well that depends how the world is build, instead of stages like in older pikmin games they could let you travel around PNF-404 without loading screens, but still in the same vain as the stages. Not that it will change much , but still
Actually, Pikmin is already a sort of Semi-Open World game, so going full Open World wouldn’t actually negate much. Look at Zelda for instance, that game has now become an fully open world game in 3D and people are loving it.

They just bought the 2nd biggest toy store brand in the netherlands. Pretty much creating a monopoly.
They didnt bought it, Bart Smit and intertoys have the same parent company (Blokker Holding) and Blokker decided to call all the stores Intertoys. I must say Blokker has a monopoly in the toy retail market and that isnt good. Blokker owns a lot more of stores

I just hope that Nintendo will shift their game mechanics across all games like they do with Zelda.
I don’t wanna learn how to play Pikmin for the 4th time. I want to play strange and surprising episodes like the last world in P3. I don’t always want to go through the same process to end up getting an idea of what would be possible in that game if it wouldn’t be as much about handholding.
When P3 ended I was dreaming of a star-trek-kind of exploration-adventure (which Pikmin 3 already is somehow) where you would already be aware of all mechanics and it would really more be about exploring something really knew while having to deal with all sorts of puzzles and challenges for your army of Pikmin. They could really create some immersion with this, at least I really liked that finale of P3 (obviously).
We all can pretty much assume that Pikmin 4 will be on the Switch. But the question is, WHEN? Miyamoto stated many months ago that Pikmin 4 was near complete. I can only guess that they were waiting for the Switch to release first.
But I can’t deny that I’ll be disappointed if they bring back nothing but fruit to collect again, instead of real treasures. That got tiresome collecting fruit just to make drinks out of. I love seeing real products as treasures. Like the Duracell batteries.
I must be the only one but I wish they would stop making games for DS lol Luigi’s mansion 2 should of been on switch not DS, make games for the Switch!!!
Luigis Mansion Dark Moon came out way before they even had announced that there was an “NX”. I do want to see LM3 on Switch tho!
They have stopped making games for the DS years ago, however they still make 3DS games
Don’t you mean for the Wii U? Dark Moon was released four years ago, delaying a finished game for that long would just be weird.

Over a year ago Miyamoto said Pikmin 4 was ready. Either he was lying, he was actually talking about 3DS Pikmin, or it was a huge fuck up of a translation. Either way, I want Pikmin 4 & no side scrolling Pikmin is NOT interesting to me in the slightest.
