You Can Easily Access eShops From Other Regions On Nintendo Switch

Like the PlayStation 4, Switch users can easily access content from other regions eShops. So if you’re in Europe and want to purchase something from the North American eShop you just need to make a North American account and log into the eShop. You’ll then be greeted with the range of North American games with prices in dollars. This is ultimately good news, but we knew all along that the Nintendo Switch is a region free console.

  1. To play those games, do you have to log into your switch with your other account, or does purchasing the game make it available to all accounts on the system? (I assume the later)

    1. On the Nintendo Switch you don’t log into the console with your account, only your games.
Therefore, it is availiable on the Home screen, and thereafter you choose which account to play it with.

But you will see all it’s glory in one measly day, it will all be clear to you then.
Clear to all of you that Nintendo is going to be all you breath, eat and exist for.

      The takeover is imminent

        1. Nintendo First Order Commander Quadraxis

  2. I have not understood that. Why I have to do multiple accounts? What if I lose the password on one account? The game will be available when I’ll login with another account on a new console (because the other was sold, etc.)?
Why just don’t let choose which version from any account like MAME do? (hehe)

    1. You’re responsible for keeping your own password safe, and doubtlessly there are reset options available provided you have access to your own e-mail (don’t lose that password too).
As for logging in to another console it would seem likely that you need to do a sort of system transfer – unlike what you see on PS4. I don’t know anything on that front yet.

      1. I don’t know why one account can’t just access multiple areas. There are no limits phisically, so why they put some digitally?

They seriously need to fix this pronto. So does this mean my digital purchases will be tied to that one account when I ever decide to transfer the account to a new Switch in the future? I want a universal account system, not a regional one!

This is just Nintendo once again making something complicated when it should be so much more simpler.
