The voice actor behind Princess Zelda has been revealed in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, the first main Zelda title that features voice acting. Her name is Patricia Summersett, who’s known for her voicework in a number of other video game series – including Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed, Rainbow Six and For Honor. Summersett is a fan of video games herself and says she’s looking forward to playing through the latest Zelda game on her new Nintendo Switch console.

Oh, I’m so jelly, and impressed. I’ve always dreamed of voicing characters in games and cartoons.
I haven’t gotten too far into BotW yet, but what little I have heard of her was great. Looking forward to more.

She’s not a bad voice actress in the slightest, it’s just that she was cast for the wrong role. Her voice isn’t too well-suited to the role of this Zelda in my opinion.

I quickly hooked up my Switch and played a little of Breath Of The Wild. And I was disappointed at the fact that ALL text in the game wasn’t spoken. I thought it WOULD be. I was already getting sick of reading. Even though reading was expected in past Zelda games.
It was confirmed before that voice acting was only during cutscenes.
Just in the cutscenes? Aw, that’s kind of a bummer. I liked what I heard in the trailer.

When fighting Ruta, Sidon speaks throughout the first stage of the boss fight (outside when you’re riding on his back)… stuff like “get rid of those blocks”, “any shock arrows?”, and “Let’s find an opening”… minimal, but speaking

I’m good with everything so far. Absolutely loving the game. From what little I’ve heard of her voice, I find fitting for the character. Back to getting that Paraglider!

I went to Ganon’s castle for fun. It’s huge. And the defenses are tough. I did a little raid and for some goodies and left.
I think I’ll do my own little raid after I meet Impa & get a better outfit than the measly ones I got of that winter top from the old man & the chests containing some pants & the Switch shirt outside of the Shrine of Resurrection. They did not protect me for shit when I left the plateau & went straight for Gerudo Highlands & Desert. Probably a mistake on my part, though, for going there instead of straight for Kakariko Village to meet Impa. xD
I went to Gerudo a little later than you, but still too early and got rocked as well haha. Is the Switch shirt I’m the Wii U version? I have 52 shrines done now and two dungeons complete.
Not sure. I hope it’s not in the Wii U version for those that got it on that console & don’t want a Switch. Otherwise, it’s just another smack in the face to them after Gamepad features were removed. Still too early to say I’m enjoying my Switch, though, since my enjoyment has been centered around Zelda, not the system I’m playing it on. Maybe if there was more to do on the Switch with some nice music playing & a nice dynamic background, like on the PS4, when I’m in the menu, maybe I could say I was enjoying the thing. But I digress.
I hope for your sake the Switch gets better. More games and third party support. Until they do that to my level of desire, I’m holding off.
If you got Zelda for Wii U & your Wii U is fully functional, you & others should definitely hold off on the Switch when it has more games & more, better features. Right now, it’s just a barebone system to play Zelda, and maybe Blaster Master Zero, on.
There are a few games that I’m interested in coming later, but it’s gonna take a consistent flow of games to push me.
She’s not bad at all and I hate people that have to be so damn rude.

As much as I truly wanted Cynthia Preston to reprise the role of Princess Zelda in Breath of the Wild, I still have to give Patricia Summersett a chance for once. If Charles Martinet can do it as the voice of Mario… why not Patty?
