Bloodstained Is Coming To Nintendo Switch

The long-awaited Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night will be coming to the Nintendo Switch. The news was revealed via the news notice system which was sent out to Nintendo Switch users in Europe. The graphic shown below is similar to the one that was revealed during the Nindies showcase, but it now includes Bloodstained.

  1. Finally! This is something to watch out. Not Castlevania but a very promising Castlevania-like.
These are the indies that deserve interest.
    2018?

      1. Good, I heard it was delayed to 2018. Maybe a Switch timed exclusive, who knows.
Shovel Knight it does convince me a bit more, it looks more polished, but I have seen only demos of Bloodstained.

    1. Looks nice indeed! As for Castlevania a modern version like Dark Souls and Bloodborne would be a perfect fit.

This game just got released this week I believe it will come to switch in the future aswell, wich also reminds me of the metroidvania style games:

      1. A spin-off maybe, but they tried and failed multiple times.
Castlevania reached the top with Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, I hope there will be other Castlevania 2D because that its true environment.

Not everything can become a Super Mario 64. It’s my opinion that Super Mario 64 got better with 3D but the same can’t be said with Daggerfall for example. Skyrim is worse than it, I don’t know if it’s just lack of manpower or simply it’s more difficult to traslate in proper 3D a game like that.

Some things better leave them as they are.

        1. True Sonic has been trying for years but never reached the level of the 2d games. There are allot of topics btw that Dark Souls and Bloodborne = the perfect Castlevania, same vibe, same gameplay, world, leveling up ect. and perhaps most importantly very hard just like the old Castlevania’s.

I also agree on the Mario 64 part but the strange thing is I never enjoyed a Mario game more than the 8 bit, snes and n64 mario.

Mario Galaxy was amazing but way to easy, if I remember correct I died like 6 times in the entire game tops and had 40+ lives after 2 or 3 hours of play.

Another game that might be made for 2d is donkey kong country the n64 version wasn’t great altough I still think thats the route they should take (Yooka Laylee and Banjo)

          1. Same gameplay? Aren’t they adventure games instead of platforms? Castlevania 2D is a platform, heh.

Maybe it share some environment but gameplay it does look different for me. I don’t like at all Bloodborne, but I don’t know about Dark Souls. It looks to me a pretty uninspired normal action RPG. Isn’t it boring?

Yes, I too don’t see Donket Kong well in 3D. Maybe the environment isn’t appealing like that of Super Mario. Or Rare have just done it bad, who knows.

I don’t find Yooka too that interesting. Maybe I’m too much old. Super Mario environment looks genial, but those Rare games (Banjo, Yooka) looks more childish.

  2. I do hope they are still doing it for Wii U.
I’m rather interested in the game, but I don’t want to support these kickstarter companies if they steal or break promises.
I would buy it for Switch though.

    1. I wouldn’t be pissed off if they broke the promise of bringing it to Wii U. They have too much to deal with in the first place, to even think about a dying machine and it’s difficult development process.

      1. You are right, i I where the developer I wouldn’t risk with a dying console. After all, what we all gamers seek is to upgrade and get the new console. I originally chose PS4 version of Bloodstained, but i changed my mind after i heard its coming to Switch, i’ll get that insted, even if i don’t have the console for a time.

  4. King Kalas X3 {Greatness Awaits at Sony PlayStation 4! Hopefully it will also await us at Nintendo Switch if Nintendo doesn't FUCK things up again!}

Good to know. Now hopefully it gets a simultaneous release between PS4 & Switch. Of course, it won’t do me any favors as I’ll then have to decide which system to get it for. Maybe my decision will be made easier as it doesn’t get a simultaneous release. Guess I’ll find out eventually.

Or maybe exclusive DLC where I can dress the main character up as Zelda or Link.
