One thing that people were disappointed to find out is that the Nintendo Switch doesn’t feature a built-in activity log detailing your gaming achievements. Well, it would appear that it does have this functionality built-in. For nearly everyone it only lists when they first started games right now. However, one week later and it will switch to hours played. You can find it on your profile which is at the top left of the home screen.

Still not as good as trophies though B)
Trophies? more like checklists…
I love trophies tho
What about “Medals” or “Badges”?? After you complete a “Mission”, you get a “medal/badge’.
A cool idea is — they can sync up to your MyNinAccount for rewards and more currency!
There probably won’t be a huge bundle of missions like PS/XB, but maybe Nintendo can release 1 or 2 weekly missions for players to accomplish!
Example… “Defeat the shrine without getting hit. > Game: The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild”
Nintendo already rewards people who log on (weekly) to their account/eshop/miiverse… so why not impliment this same aspect into actual games :)??
I’d definitely be down with that
Even as a completionist I think trophies are stupid. I’d rather just finish every in-game objective.
Trophies are amazing
No one wants trophies. Terrible concept created to stroke the e-peen. Give me something useful, not another damn blip on my screen
Well I guess you’re the only person that matters then, Mike Trim. Thanks for speaking for everyone, but I’d in fact *love* trophy support of some kind
Trophy support should be coming soon in the form of ‘MyNintendo Points’ earned by completing ‘Missions’..
These Missions are already available for select mobiles games: eg. Clear World 1 on Super Mario Run to earn 50 points ..points earned can then be ‘redeemed’ to get various rewards, from in-game items to desktop themes, mini guides and much more!
So, unlike PSN Trophies and XBL Achievements, there’ll actually be a reason to earn Nintendo points – accumulate enough and you can use them to get some free rewards :)
I’m a lifetime Nintendo fan who also wants achievements. Probably a little late to get anything far-reaching at this point (we may still get individual in-game achievements, but nothing system wide).
Well that’s what I was thinking.
Thanks for speaking for me. I didn’t know I didn’t want trophies/achievements on my Nintendo Switch. I could have sworn I DID want those on it. Thanks for the help in reminding me of my true feelings. I don’t know what I’d do if you weren’t there to speak for me. Thanks! I’d give you a virtual trophy but you said no one wants them which includes you. *claps* Seriously, thanks again, bub! /s
Cool, but disappointingly basic in comparison to Wii, Wii U, and 3DS.
Also, still no trophy system which was hugely disappointing to me
Why? all that is it tells you what achievement you accomplish. Give me a real reward so like 10 buck off your next service once you buy or give me an email with a coupon or something, don’t just tell me what I did to complete the suppose mission. I find that pointless.
Just cause you don’t see a point for trophies doesn’t mean others can’t want it. Its like the badges in mario maker 3ds. You do a hard challenge and get a thing to show you did it. I like others see the appeal
I prefer achievements to trophies.
I say just leave trophies/achievements up to the developers. That way the ones who want them get them and the rest don’t feel pressured to include them just because it’s there.
I’d love system-level achievements but that doesn’t really have anything to do with the Activity Log- which I’m glad is returning this time around.
This looks like nothing compared to the ones on 3DS and especially Wii U. I would use the Wii U one to see if my brother played anything while I was out when I would ban him from using the system. That’s the kind of activity log Switch needs.
Well that’s too bad.
better late than never and yes i can see why most think activity logs are redundant but i can agree that it is useful and not redundant, just because i can see why doesn’t mean i agree nor disagree.
I’m afraid to see how many hours I’ve put into Zelda. Lol
Don’t put cheevos on Nintendo please lol
I would just LOVE Nintendo achievements :D
So it won’t track over 100 hours? That’s really disappointing.
A shame it’s just as basic, and boring, as everything else on the Switch right now that isn’t a video game.
Oh & give us trophies/achievements, damn it! Ignore these people whining about the option! If it’s such an issue for them, just put an option in settings that allows these people to hide the icon for trophies & block any notifications that alert them to a trophy being unlocked. Don’t limit the majority because of a minority.
