Four Super Smash Bros Amiibo CPSIA Certificates Have Appeared

Get ready amiibo collectors as Nintendo has some new Super Smash Bros ones to add to your collection. Reddit member Amiibofan101 discovered that four CPSIA certificates have emerged for amiibo and they’re all related to Super Smash Bros. We don’t know which amiibo these are but Bayonetta and Corrin have got to be part of this lineup.

  1. 4? hum.. Corrin, Bayonetta, Cloud and who? new fighter or just a new amiibo of an existing one? or can it be that we are getting a Super Smash Bros. for the Switch announcement with new fighters?

      1. King Kalas X3 {Greatness Awaits at Sony PlayStation 4! Hopefully it will also await us at Nintendo Switch if Nintendo doesn't FUCK things up again!}

        If they are doing a male & female Corrin, we better get alternate Smash amiibo of others with alternate genders/character skins. I want a female Robin, for instance! Oh & Advent Children Cloud or I’ll pass on a Cloud amiibo.

    1. Actually, after thinking about it, this is highly doubtful. It wasn’t done for Robin or Wii Fit Trainer, and I doubt they’ll even update Fates to get Corrin amiibo functionality. There will be no functional difference between the two, so my guess is it IS a character that was supposed to be in but wasn’t (Ice Climbers).

    2. I highly doubt it’s female Corrin; we would have already gotten male Wii Fit Trainer and female Robin if they were going that route. Plus, there are still the forms of Advent Children Cloud and Bayonetta’s original design to consider, making just the four listings seem unreasonable. Color me surprised if this is when the variants start, but it seems unlikely.

  2. actually, it is not related to smash bros directly

    For example, we know we are getting 3 Link amiibo in the next months(Majora’s Mask, Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword)

    The 4th one is Smash related, thought

    1. That’s not true, the reason we know it’s for Smash Bros is because the Item Number for that franchise always begins with “AA” while anything always has a different code. For example, all Mario amiibo’s Item Number always begins with “AB” while Zelda Breath of the Wild amiibo always begin with “AK”.
      Smash Bros always begins with “AA” and this mystery amiibo starts with that so it makes sense it’s for Smash Bros.

  3. King Kalas X3 {Greatness Awaits at Sony PlayStation 4! Hopefully it will also await us at Nintendo Switch if Nintendo doesn't FUCK things up again!}

    So what if past Smash amiibo with different genders or character skins in-game didn’t get more than one Smash amiibo variant? It doesn’t mean Nintendo can’t, for whatever reason, decide to start doing it now. If the main amiibo that have sold have been Smash amiibo, why wouldn’t Nintendo decide to do it now just to make even more money?
