Video: Developer Got ‘Zombie Viking’ Working On Nintendo Switch After Just Three Days But Struggled With Wii U

In a recent interview with Nintendo Enthusiastic, community manager Alexandra at Zoink Games explained that it took only three days to get Viking King to run on Nintendo Switch. This is compared to them running into issues whilst trying to develop the same title for the Wii U. Alexandra points out that frame rate issues were to blame.

It’s also worth noting that Viking King will be released on the Nintendo Switch sometime soon but a solid date is yet to be confirmed. Flipping Death is also slated for a release on the Switch but again we’re waiting on news from the developer for a less-vague launch window.

  1. That’s dope 3 days. I want to reiterate any game on steam should be able to come to the switch. I believe if Nintendo can get these developers they can get their own steam type of environment.

  2. Ridicule.
    Let’s just say that they aren’t good programmers and can’t program the Wii U. Nintendo Switch is definitely easier to program for, many said that, but Wii U got so many far more complex games without glitches and very good frame rate.

  3. King Kalas X3 {Greatness Awaits at Sony PlayStation 4! Hopefully it will also await us at Nintendo Switch if Nintendo doesn't FUCK things up again!}

    When Rockstar comes out & says how easy it was to develop and/or port Grand Theft Auto 5 for Switch or any other heavily data intensive game, THEN I’ll get excited. This does nothing for me when it’s mostly only indies praising this.
