Nintendo Japan has launched the official Mario Kart 8 Deluxe website and with it comes a number of new screenshots, character art and videos. You can check out the newly launched site here or alternatively gaze upon the characters that feature in Nintendo’s latest racer and check out some of the new power-ups.

Why haven’t they made E. Gadd a racer yet? He’s a better choice than Baby Rosalina, Baby Daisy, Pink-Gold Peach, and Tanooki Mario combined.
Basically E Gadd or anyone from the mario and luigi RPG series, hell, Piantas would be a better choice

You are probably right. Still one can hope that we will get more for MK8 since we are pretty much buying the same game twice … Hopefully battle mode holds up and makes it worth the full price .
I hope not, Mario Kart 8 should be sufficient, better target new IPs or F-Zero, Metroid, etc.
Mario Kart 9 would be good with an hardware jump (next console) more than with a Wii U portable.
I can’t stress this enough this is new to everybody who doesn’t own a Wii U which only a minority own this game is still going to sell more than the Wii U version because majority own a switch heck most people don’t even know the Wii U was a flop because there never even heard and who cares professor regard is a horrible character to add in the series imo petty the piranha is way much better than him I actually like the baby characters they were pretty much my mains in mkwii days even like tanuki Mario and cat peach and rest now metal and pink gold peach and Mario are the only problem people should quit complaing over the roster it’s better than all the other Mario karts and yes I’m only talking about roster and some courses you be should happy you have portable hd Mario kart game now like really just sell the old one and use that money and the cash you have and buy it will still be like getting a discount my friends have already done this and it’s better solution than trying to ask Nintendo for a discount
We should be happy Nintendo re-released an old game with nothing that isnt major instead of making a new exclusive gamee tailored for the switch. We should be happy that they will make us buy dlc again. And since they think we support this kind of practice they will continue to do it.
So there is something wrong with releasing a popular series from an under performing console on the next console? One where there is at least some different/new content? And it is completely portable?

The good part is that they can concentrate on new IPs, but Mario Kart made huge sales on the Wii U: 7 millions!
I didn’t bought it so I’m happy to buy, though probably it will not sell that much. Half would still be en enormous amount. I think they did it right to provide this to us on the Switch.
This is a sign that DLC is coming, Gold Mario unlocks after 200cc and will start another row of characters, these 6 characters will be split into 2 DLC packs like Mario Kart 8, can’t confirm on it but that is my prediction.
Gold Mario is most likely going to be a color swap after selecting Metal Mario since his Standard Kart is the same color as Metal Mario.

It doesn’t show any of the other color Yoshis and Shy guys and we know they’re in the game.
That’s different though because when you choose Yoshi it brings up a popup that lets you choose the color..
I guess gold Mario might just be a reskin of metal Mario but who knows?

5 new characters, 2 new items, & only a few battle mode arenas. Yeah. 60 bucks is still too pricey for a game I got on Wii U. *waits til I can get it for 20 bucks*
