Warner Bros Suggests Retail Nintendo Switch Version Of LEGO City Undercover Doesn’t Need To Download To Play

Eurogamer has contacted Warner Bros after hearing the news that Nintendo Switch owners of LEGO City Undercover may have to download part of the game to play. However, Warner Bros says that this isn’t the case. It is still not clear why the box says that it requires an internet connection and 13GB of storage for the physical version

“Players who purchase Lego City Undercover on Nintendo Switch at retail do not need to download the game to play,”

  1. Have you thought the post about an internet being required and the 13gb download might be a hoax.

As keep in mind of the following:
    1) most games that require an internet connection DONT put that information on the front of their game boxes, instead it normally on the back also the wording does not seem right as instead of saying “internet connection required” it says on the front of the supposed real box photo internet required, it wrong (also check out Lego city on Amazon, the box cover on that site does not mention anything about internet connection, and neither does the digital version on the Nintendo switch eshop,
    2) also the second photo that talks about 13gb to download, what’s to say that is the back of the Lego city undercover box, we can’t see what game box that massage is on, we just can see that message

So that’s why I think it is a hoax and I do not think warner brothers were behind this in anyway

    1. I was thinking the same thing when I saw the actual post yesterday. MNN really needs to include further details in their posts so we don’t have to go to the Source to get the full story.

  2. The download size for the digital version of this game is supposedly 7GB. I Don’t know whether that’s correct but I call BS on this whole thing.

We live in the era of fake news. If I worked in retail and photographed the box I don’t think I would even look for it to say about file size. I usually just want for about 4 people on the internet to get irate about it and swear never to buy the game until it’s under $20.

How do you not know why it says that on your own product? *facepalm* First rushing their DC cinematic universe & now this? WB, are you fucking high or drunk!?
