A fifth-grader in Japan crafted a Switch out of cardboard, complete with inter-changeable accessories, after his mum wouldn’t buy him the real thing.
Twitter user @fraise_ama, the young boy’s older sister, shared a video clip of his masterpiece, whilst also sharing that her little brother dreams of being a video game creator one day.
The cardboard version he has created is definitely impressive, so who knows what he will create in the future!
Lol poor kid. Very creative though wonder if he actually spends time playing, I would be concerned if he did lol =p
Coming next
Kid crafts the entire Botw world map out of a cardboard
But do the cartridges taste bad too?
They probably taste like cardboard.
this one time…when i was younger… i built an entire skate park out of cardboard. it had stair sets, ledges, a bowl…. i even took plastic hangers to make hand rails. nobody gave a shit and nobody ever thought id be a park designer when i got older. should have filmed it and put it on the internet.
Get that boy a Switch ASAP.
I have enough money to buy TWO Switch systems.
Maybe she won’t let him buy him one because everyone has one. This kid is pure genius for making the cardboard out of it.
Interviewer:
“Reggie, what are your two cents on the Japanese kid who crafted a Switch out of cardbox? It wouldn’t hurt Nintendo giving the little boy a real Switch, right?”
Reggie Fils-Aime, CEO of NoA:
“Nintendo is all about passion, and what you play, when you play, and how you play. Emotions mean everything to us, and we feel accomplished by the fact that we instilled passion into that little kid. This is our mission: make people dream, and make it by the best way possible. We firmly believe our vision is the one to be shared, and the one to be perpetrated: giving people what we want, the way we believe things have to be conducted. We are alive and kicking in the business, spreading our word and keeping ourselves relevant to deliver emotions and drive people towards the best way gaming can assume. When it comes to make people laugh, when it comes to make families and friends get together… This is our fuel, this is what drive every single decision at Nintendo. We, at Nintendo headquarters, strive every day, every moment, to make the simplest approach becomes the most beautiful solution people can experience.”
Interviewer: O.o
Omg. That was genius. And exactly what he would say, word for word. I’m turning off my phone. Everything else I read today will be a disappointment.
he shouldn’t be given one just because he’s good at art :/
I wonder how many times Reggie (or any other big head at Nintendo) talked like this, just to avoid saying “we don’t give two shits about other people (unless they make better gives games than us for free, without our permission)”.
I’m surprised Nintendo didn’t try to sue him! XD
I read that in his voice
i read that in your voice
Kid recieves a cease and desist order a week later.
Typical fucking Reggie. Ignored the question altogether. …douchebag……..
Y’all really do say mum huh lol
To be fair, she probably couldn’t afford one if you think about it.
This is sad, interesting and kinda funny all at the same time. I’d buy the little guy one if I were in Japan for sure.
>>> Dreams of being a video game creator one day.
Respond = it will probably made/help paper mario style game(s), for Nintendo console(s).
“well he shud has wun given to ‘im cuz he knows how to make stuff outta cardboard durr”
this is what we had back in the day and we liked it
You rich kids with your cardboard.
This was my childhood FeelsBadMan
The new paper mario game looks great.
What a pity..must be the child of an Xbot.

||This is unacceptable, punish the blasphemous parents and grant this adopted Nintendoling a Switch at once…||
Yes, Commander. As you say, Commander…
The making of a young engineer.
Doesn’t Nintendo’s own R&D make mockups like that?
Maybe we have a future hardware designer for the big N.
Oh someone get that kid a switch already. Almost put tears in my eyes with his passion for the game
[SOMEONE NEEDS TO GET THIS KID A SWITCH. THIS BRINGS BACK MEMORIES OF THE BEST BUY EMPLOYEES THAT BOUGHT THAT GUY A WII U, FOR SOME REASON]
Where can I donate? ;~;
This poor child clearly needs his daily dose of Nintendo or he’ll die.. of boredom
This is what a young mind is capable of when its potential isn’t wasted on playing video games.
checking to see if my comments need approval…
