Seeing as it’s now April Fools Day in Japan, Nintendo have jokingly announced a new Fire Emblem game using an 8 bit art style. Called Fire Emblem: Battle of Revolution, the game does look interesting, but the website mentions how it isn’t real. Check out the April Fools Day joke here.

Nah, that wouldn’t fool anyone at all- there’s no way they would do N64 Classic before a SNES Classic.
That was kind of why I picked it though. You don’t want an April’s Fool’s prank to be fully within the realm of possibility. You want it to be plausible enough to fool people, but ridiculous enough that they will admit they should’ve known better. Otherwise you run the risk of seriously disappointing fans. The SNES Classic is something that a lot of fans expect, and I should think most want, in the relatively near future. The N64 Classic is something that is completely possible, but also not likely anytime soon. I’d bet that a good amount of people would be so excited over the idea of an N64 Classic, that they’d be fooled for at least a moment.
It’s not until tomorrow and I haven’t gotten my switch yet. Still waiting for shipments -_-
