Overcooked is a cute local co-op game making its way onto the Switch sometime during 2017. However, the ESRB had an issue with a crude joke featured on the game’s logo and Overcooked almost lost its “E For Everyone” rating. Pointing to a chef’s bare bum on Overcooked’s marketing materials, the developers were told the game would be re-rated as an E10+ release. Desperate to keep the game’s mass appeal, the cheeks were quickly removed. The developers discussed the change in an interview with Eurogamer.
“We had to frantically paint over the little bum. Update the logo everywhere we could think of and re-edit the trailer from the hotel in the middle of the night. The t-shirts we had printed for conventions are the only things remaining which still display the illicit cleft.”

Smash 64 is actually rated E and Melee was rated T because the E10+ rating hadn’t been thought of yet. I can only imagine why Brawl was rated T though; possibly because of Zero Suit Samus and the fact that you could look up Peach’s skirt and the year it was released
