Square Enix Developer Teases Upcoming Nintendo Switch Project

We heard yesterday that Square Enix is planning to fully support the Nintendo Switch which is more than welcome news. Takashi Tokita who works for the company has teased a new project from the powerhouse with a tweet that roughly translates to “Top-Secret Mission Begins!” with an image of the Nintendo Switch.

    1. I prefer 1.5, 2.5, 2.8 and KHIII, the whole series on Switch!!!
Over, the FFVII remake, which is not looking that great.
      Also, Nier Automata plz….

              ||No, like I said we came 3 years later which includes the facts you mentioned…||

I don’t think love hotels came around til the mid 1990s. So it was just a card game company back in 1889.

    1. I would actually welcome a Crystal Chronicles game! A sequel to the GameCube version just modernized in every way I would be all for. No GBA’s required for connectivity and online! A dream for me! However, I can’t fault you for wanting something from their more mainline games.

            1. It was a diplomatic way of telling you to suck a dick lol but saying outright was more than I wanted to say cuz “shut up” doesn’t warrant that lol.

    1. He phrased it like they were beginning a new project though, and Octopath Traveler has already been in development for a while.

  1. I’d gladly welcome a new Crystal Chronicles game so long as there’s some more options and made to be more adult themed. This time around, how about normal multiplayer options as well. Also, I hate it in games when you can equip different gear, yet it doesn’t show on said character. That shit is weak.

A remake of the original Crystal Chronicles would be very welcome. Female selkies in glorious HD. Mmmm. *shakes head & snaps out of it* …sorry……… lol

        ||It’s fascinating, here I thought all of you wanted new weaponry but instead like 90% of you are demanding ports of older games or remakes of even older games…||

I like new stuff but I also want remakes of games that didn’t age well over the ages or games that weren’t as good back then because of hardware limitations. (Terrible online for the game being a big problem Crystal Chronicles had.)

Nothing wrong with this if ya in to that. Then again, I don’t think this person has ever said WHAT gender he, or maybe even she, is. Doesn’t really matter, though. We are all just gonna be pure energy when we die so gender specifics be damned! lol

  2. Are we finally getting a new Front Mission tactical RPG? Please let this be real:D Hell, I’ll even settle for a Front Mission collection, including the one that never released here in the states:D

    1. At this point putting FFXV on the Switch would be a waste of time. Any FF fan or anybody that was looking forward to the game has already played it on other systems.

  4. I’ve said this a few times but Kingdom Hearts 3 withNintendo themed worlds and I’d get the Switch version over other versions for sure even if I had to wait longer for the to implement those world ;)

Who knows. Maybe once they are done with the Xehanort Saga, maybe Kingdom Hearts IV COULD feature Nintendo worlds. If not that, at least treat Nintendo characters like the Final Fantasy characters & give them their own little connected world that Mario, Link, Samus, etc live on together. (No need to say Donkey Kong since it’s already established that DK & Mario live on the same planet.) If Square Enix is really back with Nintendo & is fully ready to support them again, ya never know.

  6. I got some insight into this. I hear the villain is this troll named Thanos Vasiliou, and the plot is you have to try and shave his unibrow while he sits at his computer waiting for articles on mynintendonews to pop up so he can do his troll-like duties. Prob another 2d side scroller

A true Chrono Trigger sequel? (Fuck Chrono Cross! We can just pretend it takes place in a darker future since Chrono Trigger no doubt created alternate timelines from all of that time traveling!) I’d buy that for Switch in a heartbeat. I’ll even take a remake of the original Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles! (Mmm, female selkies… @.@ …I did it again, sorry…….) I’m good on Kingdom Hearts & the mainline Final Fantasy games, though, as I got PS4 for them. (Still, others might appreciate those games on Switch at some point.)

Hell! I’ll even take an HD remake of Chrono Trigger like the guy above me is hoping for! I’d buy that in a heartbeat, too!
