Nintendo of America has confirmed that the long-awaited Cloud, Corrin and Bayonetta amiibo figures are coming on July 21st. We’ve been waiting quite some time for these amiibo. That’s not all as there’s some brand new Link themed amiibo releasing too based on classic Link designs.

I’m going to throw out a wild prediction out there: Smash for Switch will be announced for a release date soon after July 21st. After that date, seeing as ARMS comes out that month. I’m thinking August.
My mistake: Splatoon 2 releases that month. Not ARMS.
Doubt it. I think these amiibo get released in advance of Smash Switch as an early teaser. Then in August/September Smash Switch releases with amiibo for the new characters and maybe a couple extra alts.
Splatoon 2 is in July. We’re not getting Smash as Splatoon 2 at roughly the same time.

“Why would they make 2 versions of a Smash character when they didn’t do it with past ones?” BECAUSE THEY FINALLY DECIDED TO, THAT’S WHY!!! Did they say if past Smash amiibo will get this treatment? I hope so because I want a female Robin and a Smash amiibo of each Koopaling! Make it happen, Cap’n!
I’ll be getting Advent Children Cloud, fem-Corrin, & B2 Bayonetta! Those are definite buys! Same goes for those 3 Links. Not sure why they are doing a TP Link amiibo since that’s essentially what the Smash Link amiibo is. Anyway, a damn shame he’s got a regular sword for that amiibo. Why does SS Link get the Master Sword when he started off with the Goddess Sword yet TP Link gets stuck with the sword he started off with? As for the Young Link amiibo, I would have actually preferred him with the Gilded Sword. As for the mask, it should have been the Fierce Deity Mask since you get the Fierce Deity’s outfit & sword from this little guy. I’m glad we’re getting them, none the less, though.
Now can we please get an amiibo of SS Zelda in her Goddess Dress!? *right eye twitch*
Those three Link amiibo are based on artwork of Link from those three games. Any true Zelda fan would know that. The one of Skyward Sword Link is based on one of many artwork pictures of him with the Master Sword, they chose Twilight Princess Link’s artwork based on his early appearence and Young Link there, well, look around the Internet for these pictures to see what I mean. You’ll see.
Uhm. I do know this. I am a Zelda veteran, after all. I thought it’d be obvious from my comment since I described a few things that only gamers of Zelda would know. Now I gotta wonder if you even read my comment…
I think I speak for everyone when I say:
It’s. About. Time. And with alt versions, no less! I’ll get standard Cloud and Male Corrin, buuuut I think for Bayo, I’ll get the Bayonetta 1 design rather than Bayonetta 2- I find long hair much more appealing.
I’d like it, too, if not for that mountain of weaved hair on her head, so I prefer short hair Bayonetta. Least the short hair is still down & not put up in a ponytail or something. Although, I’d love to see Bayonetta with twintails. :D

I never liked MM, and TP Link’s pose is idiotic.
If it wasn’t for me loving amiibo, and wanting to collect them all, I’d just pass of these ones. Since I don’t care about the games these characters represent (not talking about Smash Bros.). But gosh, why does there have to be two of each? Buying even one of each is hard enough. ESPECIALLY if amiibo remains at the nonsense higher prices that the latest Zelda Breath Of The Wild amiibo were. Seriously, why is the price higher on those? They’re no different than any other amiibo. The Guardian amiibo I can understand being more expensive, but not the others.
It’s because these are obviously better quality than past amiibo from 2-3 years ago. (Has it really been that long since these suckers debuted!? @.@ Oh my!)
