Many users found that when they scanned the Wolf Link amiibo in Zelda: Breath Of The Wild the on-screen companion would be summoned with a maximum number of hearts. The way in which you were meant to get these was to complete, or at least progress through, the Cave Of Trials found in Twilight Princess HD and then the data would be mirrored to Breath Of The Wild.
The new update fixes this issue and now deals out the correct number of hearts.
The same update also ensures that arrows that are fired towards you and are obtainable are limited to just 20 and players can no longer enjoy a limitless supply of them.
Well at least we know what Nintendo mean by “adjustments to make for a more pleasant gaming experience”.
I find it easier to just buy the arrows every single chance i get. And since we can still farm rupees we pretty much have bottomless pockets full of rupees. :o)
How do u farm rupees ?
One way is to smash rocks for ore and such. They’re worth quite a bit.
NintenMau5, you actually look hot in your profile pic ;)
Why, thank you!
He’s been… Ahem… in proper uniform for quite some time… <3 <3 <3
Haven’t been able to even try the amiibo features out. Wolf link amiobo costs 50 dollars on Amazon right now. Ridiculous
Ouch
Instead of making the game easier, you take out the on exploit people have control over.
Dick.
Love how they claim the update was “for a more pleasant experience” when the exact opposite was true.
The game being too easy because of a bug is what I would call an unpleasant playing experience. It sounds like what you want is a let’s play video, not a game.
How is it unpleasant when one of these can only be done by you yourself doing it. If you didn’t know how to do it, it doesn’t ruin YOUR experience one damn bit. Now the arrows thing makes sense.

I’d like to see them patch out the glitched impossible to get treasure chests that set off my scanner. It seriously messes with my OCD to get absolutely everything in the game. So far there’s 3 that are known.
Patching a harmless exploit. fuck you nintendo. That’s the opposite of a pleasant experience.
Exploits I never even knew existed.

Wait. What do they mean by 20 exactly? If they mean I can only obtain 20 arrows from enemies once every Blood Moon, this doesn’t make my experience any more pleasant AT ALL! *right eye twitch*
As for the Wolf Link exploit, why fix that? It’s utterly harmless if you don’t want to use it since I’m sure you need to make the exploit happen yourself. Well least people like cronotose who act like such an exploit is gonna somehow hurt THEIR experience when they can completely ignore said exploit will be happy. Just more of “Fix this issue! It won’t hurt my experience but I hate how others can actually use this exploit to make their time with the game more enjoyable if that’s what they like! Fuck those people!” *another right eye twitch*
WTF. That’s what I get for not having time to even start the game.
LOL This makes the patch notes even better!
Haven’t even bothered to use mine yet tbh. I know in Twilight Princess HD the hearts went from being red to blue which if I recall meant double damage.
Glad they fixed these issues I don’t like it when something like this basically or POTENTIALLY eliminates the challenge altogether.
Don’t understand why people are complaining about this tbh but whatever.
It’s a single player game. The removal of beneficial exploits that can easily be ignored, or aren’t easy to use to begin with unless you know how, is just a waste of time. If anything should be patched, it should be the flaws in the game like aiming, the Lynels in Hyrule Castle, and the lag (which they are trying to fix so I won’t argue that point.) Now if this was an online multiplayer game, I can understand it since not everyone, like I pointed out above, know how to take advantage of exploits since some require a little bit of hacking skill. This doesn’t effect you or me if we choose not to use them. Not to mention with the arrows, you can impose your own limit to how many you collect at any given time.
