Today’s Japanese Nintendo Direct presentation has brought with it news of a brand new Senran Kagura game for the Nintendo Switch system. The game is titled Shinobi Refle Senran Kagura and features HD rumble support which will no doubt be put to interesting and creative use. Here’s a video to whet your appetite.

I hope this a true follow up to Deep Crimson. A game like Estival Versus had enough love and Yumi needs to take a backseat.

If you mean me, then that’s correct. I’ve got into the franchise for more than just the boobs, but also me being a big fan of brawlers/beat em ups and hearing about the surprisingly decent story (which does a great job at developing great the characters).
The issue mostly comes from the more popular PlayStation games overshadowing them when they are far more focused on fanservice and humor as opposed to the serious plot. Yumi is like Animal Crossing Isabelle, being used as a massive marketing tool to guarantee sales because Japan loves her more than the others.

Of course, even if this game is coming to the West, I doubt Nintendo of America would allow this game in a direct anyway. The only reason Payday 2, whatever the hell that is, got in the direct is because America thinks violent games are perfectly fine while they have a heart attack at the sight of some cleavage. *rolls eyes* …idjits……..

Thing is Xseed Games rarely localized the series until after the game comes out in Japan first. Marvelous could do it themselves if they wanted to, but they are far more biased to their other series like Story of Seasons and Fate.
That’s mostly the reason why they made little effort of showing off the game in the other Directs, which isn’t too out of place given NicoNico is common grounds for most Senran Kagura reveals. This marks the first time a Nintendo exclusive title is announced outside NicoNico for once.
