Nintendo Switch 2.2.0 System Update Live

There’s a brand new update for the Nintendo Switch available which brings the system to firmware version 2.2.0. Nintendo of America has stated on their product support page that the update brings “general system stability improvements to enhance the user’s experience,” which means that it is just another stability update.

    1. I haven’t had that happen yet exactly but I have had one problem so far. I was playing bomberman in story mode and after I finished a level I put it in sleep mode and left it over night. The next day I had a friend come over and we wanted to play multiplayer b-man. I woke up the system and went to back out of story mode to the main menu and it just got stuck on the loading screen, it didn’t freeze but just sat there loading, so after about 3 minutes of waiting I just went to the home screen and closed the app and re-opened it and everything was fine after that.

      1. I was playing Zelda in handheld mode when a blaring noise started. I saved, closed the game, and attempted to turn off the system. The screen went black but it was still on with that noise for like 5-10 minutes. Then it finally fully turned off and I turned it on again and it was back to normal.

  1. I just need it to fix my difficulty watching videos in the news section. That’s the killer for me. Takes forever to buffer and then it says cannot play. Smh. Other than that I’m pretty satisfied with my Switch 👌🏽

    1. Sounds like it might be more of a problem with your Internet. My videos all run perfectly when I’m at home but I have really good internet and my router is right next to my dock. At work I have to use a wifi hotspot that is not nearly as good and my videos barely play. Have you tried doing the connection test to see what your download/upload speeds are?

      1. You might be right. I have internet hogs that stream video from 4 different devices all at once 20 hrs a day and 7 days a week lol. My connection test came up way 8mb/s downloading and 7mb/s uploading. My router seems to favor them over me lol

          1. I see I’m going to check in with my ISP and see if there’s a remedy for this. Maybe increasing the bandwidth or speed. I’ll know for sure soon

  2. King Kalas X3 {Greatness Awaits. This use to be something that awaited those for all consoles. It's sad it's mostly just a PS4 slogan these days. Maybe Nintendo will get back to that greatness with the Switch. Only time will tell.}

    Another “stability” update, eh? I wonder what they made “stable” this time. I wonder when is the next “stability” update for the 3DS family of systems.
