Here Is EA’s Full Statement On Supporting The Nintendo Switch

We’ve heard bits and pieces here and there when it comes to knowing what EA have in store for Nintendo’s latest console. However, Andrew Wilson’s full statement regarding his support for the Switch has been obtained. We reported not long ago that EA wanted to bring more games to the system and this was pointed out at their recent financial call. Here’s what he had to say in its entirety:

“So we feel really good about it. Again, we came out early and said that we’ll be supporting the Nintendo Switch with our biggest title in FIFA. We have a tremendous relationship with Nintendo and have done for many, many years and are excited by the fact that they have come out very strong and are bringing in a whole new player base into the ecosystem. We continue to be bullish on it and are looking at other titles that we might bring to the Switch.”

    1. Nintendo Abandoned the WiiU way before 3rd party did. If not for EA and Ubisoft, I wouldn’t even be here. I would have left Nintendo during the WiiU’s launch Window.

      Nintendo is an epic Hypocrite.

  1. Even if I would love Battlefield or Titanfall, that would be hard. They need it to run decently, which would take a lot of work, if possible. Garden Warfare and Mass Effect – or Dead Space are serious candidates. Personally, I would love a Dead Space trilogy.

    1. I’d buy Kotor, Swtor has never been released on a console. I kind of want them to release spore for the Switch, I bought it for Mac not realizing I couldn’t run it.

  2. Barcelona’s Football team have shown their approval. FIFA is a football game, and EA’s biggest money maker, so it makes sense for at least yearly FIFA games to release for the Switch.

    1. King Kalas X3 {Greatness Awaits. This use to be something that awaited those for all consoles. It's sad it's mostly just a PS4 slogan these days. Maybe Nintendo will get back to that greatness with the Switch. Only time will tell.}

      In the same pile that Nintendo’s concern for Wii U went: in the 0 fucks given pile. lol

  3. Yea last I heard ea was salty that Nintendo didn’t use their os for the wiiu. But great partnership !!! Mmmhhmmm loli wanna see some games announced ea not crap talking

    1. That would be a dream come true. The Wii U had NFS Most Wanted, but the Switch needs a car racing game. Even Project Cars 2 would suffice.

  4. Nintendo Fucked the WiiU in ways 3rd parties couldn’t even compare to. Mario Kart, Star Fox, ZELDA, Nintendo fucked WiiU, fucked the fans, and fucked my trust in them. EA gets all the hate. Nintendo gets away with goddamn murder.

      1. Mario Kart was released bare bones, and didn’t do jack shit with the gamepad, all the while Mass Effect, Zombie U, Blacklist, even CoD made amazing use of the gamepad.

        Also, let me remind you, Mario Kart came out in 2014, WiiU launched in 2012. And Zelda… Got royally fucked #Triggered and was at the end of WiiU’s life.

        The first 1-1/2 to 2 years, I played Ubisoft and EA games, along with a couple Indies.

        So, to my original statement, if not for those devs who not only supported, but included clever gamepad support…something Nintendo utterly failed to do, I would have jumped ship long ago.

  5. Two things I want to see from Electronic Arts to deliver on Nintendo Switch– Madden and this…

  6. King Kalas X3 {Greatness Awaits. This use to be something that awaited those for all consoles. It's sad it's mostly just a PS4 slogan these days. Maybe Nintendo will get back to that greatness with the Switch. Only time will tell.}

    Sadly, whatever games EA release that interest me will be buys for my PS4. But great for those that actually care to buy EA’s games on Switch.
