The Switch’s Firmware Has Been Updated To 2.3.0

The Nintendo Switch has been getting firmware updates every once in a while, and the trend has continued with a new update that has been released by Nintendo. The Nintendo Switch’s firmware is now at version 2.3.0. However, the update does not contain anything major. In fact, the only thing Nintendo lists in the update’s patch notes are “general system stability improvements to enhance the user’s experience”. The update can be downloaded automatically or launched in the system’s settings, depending on your preference.

      1. Can’t stop the Wii u from being hacked. Mine is hacked and I use a program to download all my games. I sold all my Wii u games and downloaded them all for play on a hdd. I feel secure as well.

      2. I’m so secure on my Wii U that I have all my games downloaded on my HDD. The Switch is just pending a big hack and they carts will be in the wild again

      1. Only Nintendo and they’re weak systems with no security. PS 4 actually stopped putting out these kinds of updates and forcing people to do these stupid updates. P3: all the fucking time

  1. Anyone else’s Switch interfering with their tv? Whenever I play another console the screen goes black or grey every now and then. I have to unplug the Switch’s hdmi for it to stop.

    1. known issue if you are using a samsung 2016 TV, HDMI switching is a feature and can’t be turned off. Massive thread over at the samsung forums about it. I have issues with other devices, but the switch seems to affect it worse.

      1. LG 2014 uses the same feature, it was meant to emulate CEC for devices without CEC and would be up to LG to fix. But since its such an old tv (in their opinion) they wont even acknowledge it exists or upload new firmware to fix it.

    2. Sometimes when Im watching Kodi in Firestick, my LG TV will display HMDI 1 where the Switch is connected. Then it will go off then come back a half hour later or hour later.

      1. Total pain. Turning cec off or the match TV power state on switch doesn’t work either. Not sure how any of these manufactures think this is a good “feature”.

  3. King Kalas X3 {Greatness Awaits. This use to be something that awaited those for all consoles. It's sad it's mostly just a PS4 slogan these days. Maybe Nintendo will get back to that greatness with the Switch. Only time will tell.}

    Yes. Another “stability” update.
