There hasn’t been much news about the upcoming Netflix Castlevania animated series as of late. However, it seems that the trend is changing thanks to a Netflix tweet that contained the show’s very first trailer. The animated series will premiere on Netflix on July 7th. We know that the series follows “the last surviving member of the disgraced Belmont clan, trying to save Eastern Europe from extinction at the hand of Vlad Dracula Tepe himself.” Producer Adi Shankar says that the show is based on Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse and Shankar has also said in the past that it will have very mature content, explaining that it is “very much Castlevania done in the vein of Game of Thrones”. As for the tweet we mentioned, feel free to check it out down below.

Better than Castlevania Judgement.
Can’t wait to watch it. Speaking of Castlevania they need to announce a new one for switch already. The DS ones were amazing
I love it. I want to see this series.

Hypu! Btw, was there any mention of Bloodstained coming to Switch?
I believe that is the plan.
Very little to go off of, but this COULD be good…
You can’t beat the NES product placement. That alone pleases me to no end.
Never played the games, but I’ll give this series a shot. I hope it inspires more game companies to distribute rights for a tv series if this goes well, always wondered what a more modern Zelda cartoon would be like.
The whole ‘game of thrones’ thing is really putting me off. Does it mean needlessly over the top violence, rape, and incest? Because if so, no thank you.
Love it or hate it, Game of Thrones does NOT sugarcoat war. Needless violence, rape, & other horrible things are par for the course. As for incest, it happened a lot in medieval times & it’s still a thing today. In that regard, the show is sadly very accurate.
As ‘realistic’ as GOT is, I fail to see how Castlevania needed that GOT ‘touch’. I don’t think that it necessarily fits the series, as dark as the games have gotten. (Obviously I’m in the minority here tho.)
I guess you could say that I’m a bit disappointed bc I really was looking forward to this and I honestly dislike GOT. :/
The trailer left a lot to be imagined on what this show could be. Well I do like the serues so we will just have to wait and see.
I’m so excited. In my opinion Symphony of the Night is the best video game in existence. I am crossing my fingers that Alucard will show up at some point!
I look forward to seeing this & the live action Death Note series Netflix is producing.
