Financial Times Source Says Nintendo Has Ordered Production Increase For Switch

There’s no doubt that the Nintendo Switch has proved to be a highly sought after video game system. Sources for the Financial Times have told the publication that Nintendo has ordered a production increase for the Nintendo Switch due to ever-growing demand. The production hike is to get enough units in store ahead of the lucrative Thanksgiving and Christmas sales period. The source for the publication also says that Nintendo will produce 18 million Nintendo Switch units in FY18.

    1. Yeah, I’m hoping for the same. Hopefully there will finally be enough for everyone. It’s crazy to think that Nintendo, as a company, is still having stock shortages on their products. This doesn’t happen anymore.

      1. I’ve had two opportunities to get one and passed. As an Amazon Prime member, they’ve had exclusive offers allowing me a shot when they get shipments in. Maybe I should have taken them and scalped them…

        Naw. Not sinking to the level of scalper.

    1. Notice how every system they create a storage for sells. Wii was unshipped on purpose to create hype and drive sells. The system was good though. Same thing they did with Amiibo and the NES Classic. They undership to drive hype and buzz, and it gives the idea that the item is so hard to find and everyone is going crazy for one. Meanwhile, Nintendo isn’t even shipping a lot of the shit. Remember, people want what they can’t have. Only in America Reggie and Nintendo have this stupid issue. And only in America do we have the want what we can’t have motto. Hmm.

          You are an idiot. You don’t own a Switch. You clearly know nothing about gaming, and you just come on here to talk shit. Fucking poser. Plan and simple. Nintendo didn’t sell Wii U at a lost and it sure as hell didn’t sell the Switch at a lost. The system cost 256 to make. It’s selling it for 300 in the states and twice as much else where. Thanks for showing me you’re a phoney.

        2. Do math idiot:

          Nintendo sells switch to 100 people who want switch. That’s only 100

          Nintendo sells switch to only 50 people, the other 50 people wait. But those other people who wait, they are telling other people how hard it is to get the system. Now more people start seeing why it’s “selling out” so fast. More customers start getting into the hype and wonder what’s so special about it. That 100 total just went up to 125 or 150.

          Nintendo does this all the time. It started with the Wii. Then Amiibo. Then the NES classic. The same PR : oh, we didnt anticipate the demand for the product. It’s your product idiots. Don’t you know your fans? And Nintendo doesn’t sell shit at a lost. That stopped after GameCube.

  4. King Kalas X3 {Greatness Awaits. This use to be something that awaited those for all consoles. It's sad it's mostly just a PS4 slogan these days. Maybe Nintendo will get back to that greatness with the Switch. Only time will tell.}

    Hopefully by a good margin & not just a small amount to save face to hide the fact of artificial stock shortages.
