Apart from the Joy-Con being a little wobbly, my Nintendo Switch has encountered a few drops and bumps from launch and the console and peripherals still work perfectly fine. Dropping it from a height of 1000 feet, admittedly, isn’t something I’ve done or likely will ever want to do however a group of people has done just that. They also captured it on film for all to see. Check it out for yourself below:
As you can see, the console itself comes out pretty well and it still functions. The left Joy-Con, however, is smashed to bits.

I think they have to try with the PS4 and XboxOne.
I’m guessing it landed on the blue controller side and that absorbed most of the impact. Pretty cool video regardless though.

Pretty sure Until Dawn is the only interactive movie on the PS4. Of course, interactive movies are still video games since you have control over what happens throughout the game’s story. Anyway, I highly recommend Until Dawn if you ever venture out of Nintendo Land & get a PS4. Unless you are just trying to troll the troll & aren’t serious about this claim. But if you are serious… *shrug* Oh well. Not my problem.

ps4 could not handle a roach frying the console while the gameboy can survive a nuke. when nintendo makes any console, handheld or home console, they make it with durability in mind.

they should have dropped the system without the joycons attached to it.The left joycon absorbed the impact and basically protected the system.
This video cause me to have a weird dream last night I think, well that and playing too much botw lately. I was walking around my old childhood neighborhood with my switch when this kaiju sized monster appeared in the horizon, he kind of looked like a cross between no face from spirited away and a monster from where the wild things are. Me and my friend freaked out and started walking really fast down a different street (not running for some reason lol) then the monster targeted us with a red laser (like the guardians in botw). My friend told me he was actually targeting the switch and I had to smash it on the ground, I threw it down and it only bounced, then we ran away as the monster kept heading for the switch lying on the ground. And that’s all I remember lol

If I could throw away around 400 bucks, I’d try this WITHOUT the Joy-Cons but at 2000 feet. I wonder how many have requested he try this without the Joy-Cons, though.
