Japanese gaming publication Famitsu has published the first review of ARMS and they weren’t quite as impressed as many would have expected. As you probably know, Famtisu is renowned for handing out extremely high scores for games so when ARMS received a 33/40 people were clearly surprised. The reviews from the latest edition are as follows:
- Alchemic Dungeons (3DS) – 6/8/7/7 [28/40]
- Arms (Switch) – 8/8/8/9 [33/40]
- The Sexy Brutale (PS4) – 8/8/8/8 [32/40]
- Mr. Shifty (Switch) – 8/8/8/8 [32/40]
- Vaccine (PS4) – 5/6/6/4 [21/40]
- Vaccine (Wii U) – 5/6/6/4 [21/40]
- World of Goo (Switch) – 8/8/7/9 [32/40]
Seems like a fair score, ARMS is fun but I wasn’t as impressed with it as when I first played the Splatoon testfire on Wii U.
wow. Famitsu normally inflates their scores so this is kinda scary
It’s a good game, just not for everyone…
Only Metacritic matters this is the Holy Cort for every game.and not just one Site.
court *
Just curious, do you mean ground or court?
Even if I’m the only one playing it, I’ll still play it lol
Gameplay is solid. If I had to guess as to why they didn’t give it 9’s across the board it’s due to content. But 8’s are still excellent and still no reason to think this game wont be great
so, an 8 is now a bad score? looks like i flopped pretty hard in college then
8s across the board is suddenly bad? That puzzles me.
||Zelda has spoiled them, anyway, my code might be coming to you this week, I’ve had system malfunction these days but it will be fixed very soon…||
At your pleasure, Sir- I shall wait as long as it takes.
The scores are good for what it is. I didn’t expect it to be the next Smash Bros.
Wow. They like Mr Shifty. Every other review outlet thought it was more Mr Shitty
First of all, Metacritic is the worst. Scores are irrelevant. 8/10 is pretty solid.
Really we should be reading the reviews and seeing what they liked or didn’t liked not reactionary judging a number. That’s why metacritic has ruined all this.
3 reviewers with an 8 out of 10 and one with a 9 out of 10 is far from bad. It’s actually quite good!
It appeals more to the western audience. It’ll be well received here in the states I’m sure.
