The official website of Atlus has dropped 3 big games that will be coming to North America in the coming months, all of which will be on the 3DS. What is perhaps most strange about this is that, although it’s on Atlus’ website, the news of their localization may not have been intentional yet. They seem to be test pages not meant to be seen by the public, an accidental leak.
The first one is Etrian Odyssey V, which will be coming to North America in Fall 2017 with the name Etrian Odyssey V: Beyond the Myth. The second Atlus title is Shin Megami Tensei: Deep Strange Journey. This game is slated to release early next year under the name Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey Redux. The final game confirmed is also the only one that didn’t get a title change. Radiant Historia: Perfect Chronology will release early next year. As for Europe, we don’t know at this time. Only North America has been mentioned for now.
Yes smt my favorite series
Good. The final games for the 3DS can get flushed out of the system and ready for the Switch.
Lol. Every time you guys say “Final games,” Even more games are announced.
Keep it up! I will be enjoying “Final games” for years to come!
Here’s hoping that the Radiant Historia remake is every bit as wonderful as the original. (I already dislike the character redesigns, but seeing certain moments animated and expanding on the characters themselves… that COULD win me over. Maybe.)

Interestingly, Atlus removed the pages.
Meh. Don’t like dungeon crawlers at all. I’ll give radiant historia a shot, never played the original. Still wish it was on the switch instead tho lol
The fun thing about the Etrian Odyssey series is you can actually fill out the map yourself. So if you like that idea, I suggest at least renting one of the games in that series to see if you like it.
I played the demo once and while I admit it had me entertained a little I just ultimately didn’t feel interested enough to spend time playing it. Ive heard the story is decent enough but the gameplay just isn’t to my liking I don’t like the whole first person step by step walking thing lol
I like being able to build & create things so that’s why I’m able to enjoy the game so much even though I myself don’t really like 1st person RPGs. I like to actually see the characters beat up on the enemies.
Fuck. I could play Atlus games exclusively and not run out of gaming content. I don’t think I’ll ever be caught up on Etrain Odyssey. :(
I WILL finish Untold, then I guess I’ll skip 4 and buy part 5.
And I have to add the new SMT to my digital collection.
My 3DS has enough software downloaded on it to keep me busy for ages. If I get stranded on a desert island, I would want it by my side!
How would you charge it?
I have a solar setup. I used it to finish my Marketing finals on a houseboat in the armpit of Tennessee for 3 days. no electricity, just what I could harness from the sun.
I am a survivalist and will find a way!
Nice
I just focus on the Untold games since they have story and you can still play the game as if you got the original games, too, if you like the ones without a story & pre-created characters. So I’m waiting for 3 & 4 to get Untold versions.
The untold games are so so fun. (as long as you like dungeon crawlers) I feel like the recent remake, greatly reduced a lot of needless grinding, which helped it not drag like its predecessor. they keep getting better and better!
The best thing about Untold 2 is you didn’t have to pay around 5-10 bucks for DLC that allowed you to level up to max without much time spent grinding (Fire Emblem Awakening, looking RIGHT at you, bub!) since that DLC only costed like 2-3 bucks. It might have been less but I can’t recall.
Good. I hope they keep it up.
I want the 3DS to last as long as possible, just to stick it to all those morons who all just want it to die as if Nintendo having 2 systems at once is suddenly a foreign concept.
i need to pick up the rest of atlus games for the 3ds so i can move on to the ones on wii and ds and then focus on new ones.
No new Etrian Odyssey Untold game? Awww… *sits in corner of sadness, balled up into the fetal position* T_T
We owe you everything, Atlus.
