Ubisoft’s Starlink: Battle For Atlas Is Coming To Nintendo Switch

The Nintendo news machine keeps chugging at Ubisoft‘s press conference with another announced game that will be coming to the Nintendo Switch. Ubisoft has confirmed that Starlink: Battle For Atlas will be coming to the console in Fall 2018. According to Ubisoft, the game “offers a whole new gameplay experience: build your own modular Starship model, mount it on your controller, and take part in epic space combats”.  Actual accessories can be used for your Switch, which enforces that gameplay experience. We’ve included the trailer below, so feel free to check it out.

  1. I saw the Rabbids presentation and right after it showed Assasins Creed so I stopped watching… Didn’t think theyed announce more Switch games (other than the expected Just Dance). Need to watch this trailer to see what’s up with this game !

  2. Nintendo First Order Commander Quadraxis

    ||Interesting, and as a bonus this is a direct insult to the useless weapon known as No Man’s Sky…||

Careful, shadowvegeta & ladyrosalina. The defenders of that game might not take kindly to these comments about Star Fox Zero. lol

            1. I don’t care haha. I beat the whole game, got every medal, and still hated it. They don’t have to like my opinion, but they can’t change it either. That game was a huge disappointment for a lot of us.

Was the story at least good? If it was, I may get it on Switch if it ever gets a port & actually does away with the stupid gimmick.

But yeah. This definitely looks way better than Zero!

            1. Absolutely. If I do eventually get a Switch, I may have to put grab this from the bargain bin (I say that because I won’t be getting one for a while, not because I think that’s where the game belongs).

Do we need those little toys to play the game? While the game looks fun, I don’t think I want to be bogged down by that stuff.

  4. I’m not to crazy about buying additional accessories for games (part of why I never bought Lego Dimensions). However this does look like an interesting core game. And the Switch needs as many of those as possible.

I just finished watching it a couple of minutes ago. I got a few laughs out of it. It’s just a CGI trailer, though. No gameplay, no release date, that I recall, and definitely no mention of the systems.

    1. That game doesn’t look like it would be coming to the switch….. Unless this game sells over a million units… Then Ubisoft might consider porting it… That’s what I feel.

  7. The game looks open and fun, but sometimes it’s gotta be in the people’s hands. I’m not really into the toy sitting on the controller, I mean come on.

Definitely going to keep an eye on it to see where it goes though, it reminds me of the game I promote called CONTINUUM, but much more advanced.
