As E3 enters its final 24 hours, a new phase begins. Companies such as Nintendo have gotten the vast majority of their announcements out of the way, so the focus shifts to the massive load of interviews that had been done over the course of the event. The intention is usually to find anything of note that may have been missed. For example, one interview that Reggie Fils-Aime did with IGN resulted in a confirmation that Nintendo is not only scaling up Switch production, but making it a key focus. Here’s what he had to say:
“What we are doing, as quickly as we can, is scaling up the production to make more available into the marketplace, to get to the point where every consumer who wants a Nintendo Switch can find a Nintendo Switch. That’s what we’re trying to get to. I’m not going to tell you when we’ll get there, but our goal is to improve our supply chain so that more product is available to more consumers. And that is a key focus.”
Good. They’ll need it for Pokémon.
And Monster Hunter and Metroid Prime 4 and Super Mario Oddyssey and Splatoon 2…
Btw.

I’ll take both sheeps
So what was the key focus before?
The same thing. :P
So we’ll keep getting Switches at the same rate? 🤔
||It has been quadrupled now…||
Exactly what I’m thinking. Are they realizing this only just now? Haha.
||Some of you are forgetting past news already, they have already taken a few measures to increase production and sending supplies, this was already set in motion back in late March, now they are most likely increasing it even further while making the Switch the outmost priority now that it has proven to sell for a few months…||
Well, it is region free for the first time. So, i’m sure they can make the best of it.
good. maybe then I’ll be able to get a damn switch at its intended price.
you don’t like the $699 Switch prices?
Do they go for that much over there?
We have plenty here. but weak $ and import fees would eat all the profit..
Those are Amazon 3rd party seller prices.
This is a very good sign, with the games already announced I can see the Switch being one of my favorite consoles. If they keep this up it may very well be my most favorite of all.
Hoping that the official release of more Switches being at stores is in the near future, like in early-late August to get ready for the highly anticipated Super Mario Odyssey. I’m hoping to get a Nintendo Switch by then, if Best Buy (or any other store) still has one left.
Meanwhile i’ll be using my money to buy a ps4 pro cus i cant seem to find a switch anywhere, you drop the ball on this one nintendo
PS4 had the same problem for months after its release. I think it took Sony 6-7 months before their production was high enough to meet demand? Very hard to meet demand when it’s so high. Units can only be produced so fast.
The only man who doesn’t found a Switch. Sometimes your trolls are so stupid.
I don’t believe Reggie when he says things like this. He said many similar things in the past, which turned out to be lies.
||The difference is that now they are actually doing everything they can to promote and sell the Switch and cannot afford another failure compared to the Wii U where they basically abandoned it around the late year of 2014…||
When you see so much demand for this console it’s normal to say such things.
It’s the classic Nintendo supply and demand, Reggie is absolutely full of it
yup, lol
I call BS… Nintendo and other game companies know hardware sales drop off in the summer…
What Nintendo is doing is ramping up production and holding back most of it, for the important fall 2017 shopping season where it stands a great chance to be the sought after device this year and during that time you hell as sure better have enough systems to sell
Feels like they’ve said this several times already.
Everytime a shipment goes out they sell out in minutes. Saw a shipment of gray consoles yesterday. They aren’t holding back.
When Reggie talks, Nintendo barely does the walk at times. I don’t trust him, so til the actions speak louder than the words, can we please shove a sock into his mouth!? I’m starting to fear he may actually be jinxing Nintendo at this point.
Anyway, if he is telling the truth for once, hopefully once there are plenty of Switch consoles to go around, they’ll start ramping up production on a number of amiibo like Ocarina of Time Link, Twilight Princess Link, & Majora’s Mask Link. Along with a number of other hard to find amiibo like the Wind Waker Link (not to be confused with the Smash Toon Link amiibo) & Wind Waker Zelda amiibo.
Damn! I forgot to mention Smash Rosalina & Smash Meta Knight!
