Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser’s Minions Doesn’t Feature Stereoscopic 3D

Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser’s Minions is among the Nintendo 3DS games that don’t feature stereoscopic 3D effects. Nintendo has confirmed that the upcoming RPG remake can only be played in 2D mode, as shown in the image of the official box art for the game below. Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser’s Minions is set to launch on October 6. It contains all the gameplay and dialogue of the Game Boy Advance original, as well as an Easy mode option for more inexperienced players.

    1. Yea, no kidding. Why in the world is it on the 3ds then? It makes no sense to skip the Switch with this game. At the very least release it on both systems! I seriously don’t understand Nintendo sometimes. One step forward two steps back, always with them.

  1. That’s so stupid. It looked great in Dream Team, and pretty good in Paper Jam (the whole game was just bland visually, except maybe the forest) The only thing that truly makes the 3DS unique (yeah yeah, the 2 screens, I know) is that effect, and to be honest, the console was definitely designed with that effect in mind, because games look best with the effect, at least, when the effect IS part of the game. Maybe games built that don’t even attempt to use the 3D effect look better than designed with the effect, but it’s turned off. If so, I GUESS it at least makes a LITTLE more sense, but it’s still really lame.

  2. King Kalas X3 {Greatness Awaits at Sony PlayStation 4 & Nintendo Switch!}

    Does anyone know if Samus Returns is using the 3D effect!? D:

        That’s helpful. lol *googles it & gets lucky with an article mentioning it* Oh good. It does.

  3. I was excited for this game back when it was just a rumor but it just keeps getting worse and worse.
    First they reveal it and surprise, they didn’t care to actually update it with Dream Team/Paper Jam-style 3D visuals, they just took the original 2D backgrounds and saturated the fuck out of them.
    And now it turns out that one of the series that makes best use of stereoscopic 3D isn’t getting it.
    Ugh.
