It’s that time of the month when the sales figures come in from North America courtesy of the team at the NPD Group. May was a busy month for software and sadly Mario Kart 8 Deluxe couldn’t quite knock Injustice 2 from the top spot. Nintendo’s very own Fire Emblem: Shadows of Valentia performed well and entered the charts at number seven and according to the NPD Group it pushed May portable software spending up 10 percent versus year ago. Here’s the best-sellers for the month of May in North America.

“Hardware spending grew 7 percent compared to May 2016, to $147 million. Nintendo Switch continues to be the primary catalyst for hardware spending gains, as it has since launching in March 2017.”
Yeah, but Mario Kart 8 Deluxe already came out for the Wii U, so being sold second is impressive.
Also, Disgaea 5 at #4 for Switch sales is good. I got that game and I’m willing to sink a couple hundred hours into it.
It’s really easy to drown yourself in the new Disgaea. Whole days seem to just disappear while you play it.
Woah, USF2 going right behind MK8 and BotW, that is good, and a surprise….
Also, sweet 3DS list you got there, dude. If I didn’t know better, I’d say Vita games were included but they just don’t sell nearly well enough to make the top 10….
P3. Breath of the Wild continues to impress. Nice that MK8D continued to sell well through the month. I wonder what the exact numbers were though. The source doesn’t say anything definitive about hardware sales.
Overwatch and GTA 5, like Skyrim, need to come for Switch.
GTA 5 has a higher chance at coming out for the Switch that Overwatch, still low chances but still. not saying we can’t be hopeful but i kinda want both and i am getting Skyrim, i did pre-ordered it from Amazon though i may just cancel and pick it up at Walmart for dat sweet 10% employee discount.
Blizzard announced Overwatch for Switch.

I want to see Overwatch on the Switch but Mister Kaplan knows already this. But they want to see the Switch upgrading much more.
FAST RMX has already fallen from the switch list??? Whoah. I like that game. Wish it could sell more
