  1. I wish Mario Kart would reintroduce Duel-Driver mode. It was so so much fun in Double Dash.

    These results would likely be different if polling the rest of the world, but, meh.

    Do you know what game is NOT a fun racing game? Project Cars. I got it for free a month or two ago, and it is for a very small, niche group of gamers. You have to be familiar with Daytona rules, and it’s really more of a racing simulator than anything else.

    On that note, it succeeds with flying colors, but if you are not a die-hard Daytona (or some such) fan, and just want to have fun racing, it sucks IMO.

      1. Hell if I know?? I Just kept getting disqualified and pulled from the race for breaking them!

        I rest my case your honor!

        1. King Kalas X3 {Greatness Awaits at Sony PlayStation 4; Awaiting Greatness on Nintendo Switch!}

          I’ll take that. *slams hammer* You won the case! Here is your full refund of the game! Oh wait…

      2. (like, bumping into the walls, not driving fast enough, or too fast, not passing at the right time… IDK, things like that, But all I hear is some bizzkill in my headset giving me strikes until I get pulled out of the race and have to watch. D;

    1. Some people hated the dual drivers, hence why it never returned.

      It’s a simulator, and the closest I’ve played is I think Gran Turismo and a Formula 1 game on SNES (I think). If you’d set all the rules and penalities like in those, it’s the closest to it. And it’s not Daytona, closest is likely Formula 1 for the type of rules (I boycotted PC so I haven’t played it).

      1. someone who gets it!! I am so happy there are actually people out there that understand that game, I was beginning to wonder who they were and if they existed!

        Thanks for clearing that up. As I said, for people who wanted a realistic simulation, it’s great, but for those of us that don’t follow the Daytona Formula 1, it’s confusing and frustrating!

      2. I’m into this new game called Elite dangerous, (new for me that is) and some people don’t get it, and that’s because it’s more of a space simulator then an action flying around and shooting game. apparently I think it’s fun when it’s in space and not fun when it’s on the racetrack. XD

    2. Never heard of Daytona rules. Daytona International Speedway is the only track I know of in Daytona, but the only races I’ve ever watched at that track are within NASCAR and use the standard league rules.

      Could be the Rolex 24 at Daytona. I’m not familiar with the rules for that race though.

      1. honestly I’m quite ignorant when it comes to racing, made obvious by my comment but that was also my point. anyone not familiar with the things you and Steve were talking about and that don’t have an interest to learn will not be enjoying project cars.

  2. Talk about blind nostalgia.
    As good as this game was when it came out it just isn’t up to standards any more, the technical aspect is abyssmal, the controls are stiff and the rubberbanding is the worst in the series.
    An objective public would have picked Double Dash, Wii or 8.

    1. Objective? That’s your opinion, which is not objective. My opinion is Wii and 8 were lame. I thought 64 was the best and then the original. Never played any others. But… that’s my opinion.

        Super Mario Kart could do with an update with better controls & an HD remaster, though. I remember playing Super Mario Kart some time ago after so many years & it definitely hasn’t aged well. Still had fun, though, before I got bored. lol

        It will most likely be one of those SNES games that’s getting an online mode so let’s hope they do more than just a simple port with online added.

      I’m disappointed there is no Need for Speed: Most Wanted. (The original; not the story-less remake that had the most wanted list cut down to 10 instead of 15 racers. EA should have just did an HD Remaster of the original game instead of that terrible remake we ended up getting. Terrible compared to the original game, at least.)

          I wish EA would give it an HD remaster but they’d rather us buy the lesser remake.

              Need for Speed: Most Wanted (2015)/Most Wanted U is a remake of the Nintendo DS, Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 2, Xbox, GameCube, Game Boy Advance, & Xbox 360 original.

  3. I wish Nintendo would do a Super Mario Kart remake, with modern graphics like in Mario Kart 8. Because sadly, Super Mario Kart is one of those games that I can’t tolerate looking at anymore. It kills my eyes. It’s hard to even tell where the road is at times because of the way the graphics look.
