Kotaku often compiles a list that they call ‘The Bests’ which outlines the best software for each console, in their opinion. Today they unveiled what their 12 best games are for the Nintendo Switch. The console is performing extremely well worldwide with Nintendo struggling to keep up with demand which is urging the Big N to ramp up production. Switch games are coming out at a steady flow with new IP’s joining the fray like ARMS and Snipperclips that are proving to be popular with critics and fans alike. Now that a good number of titles are available, here’s Kotaku’s list of Switch titles that they deem to be the cream of the crop thus far:

The King of Fighters, man! Its my favorite fighting game franchise. SNK originally. I got 99 for the PS1 first, back in high school, found out later most fans of the series pan it as one of the worst, but I like it a lot. Then I just got it on the Switch after not playing for a decade and then snatched up 98, 2002, and XIII on a crazy steam sale. Play them, won’t regret it, mane. s’guarantee

Not the switch version, unfortunately, just leaderboards. I recommend 98 ultimate or 2002 or xiii which are still on sale on steam if you like. I really love 99 on the switch because of portability and save states for someone who’s rusty like me.

Just Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild in my list. I look forward to adding Super Mario Odyssey & Xenoblade Chronicles 2 to that list.

I played the Snipperclips demo and it was actually pretty fun. Of course the best multiplayer is in Mario Kart.
I watched a demo of snipper clips and it did not look fun. I’d like to hear one person here say they bought it and play it more than once a month! Regardless, top 12 material? I highly doubt it!

Ok, well, seems I was wrong about snipper clips. I take back my ridicule of the game and will keep that in mind for the future. I will research a bit more next time. I may have been thinking of 1-2 switch, probably also fun if you have friends. xD

OH, it’s counting digital. In MY world, and in MY mind, Zelda is the only game that’s on the Switch at the moment. And there won’t be any more until Super Mario Odyssey. I probably should have unplugged my Switch until Odyssey comes out. But……..I might be getting the BOTW DLC.
